What was your hardest planning decision?

After this morning's question about easy planning decisions, I now want to know what has been the hardest decision to make when planning your wedding. What stumped you? What choice did you agonize over? What decision are you still struggling to make? Vent that planning headache! Photo taken from...

Definitely catering. We are doing a New Year’s Eve wedding, and we had the first caterer tell us that all of their waitstaff would be at a rate of $50 an hour. Bartenders were $100 an hour. Food rates were also tripled per person. I understand a holiday upcharge, but that was absolutely ridiculous. Plus, for charging so much they demanded to do absolutely nothing. Like 4 buttered appetizers for the cocktail hour (nothing displayed) and cheap food options with the bar getting cut off at 11:45 pm. The invoice was absolutely ridiculous. I didn’t even know how to convey to them that they were asinine.

We have two tastings with other caterers this week after our venue got involved to talk with their preferred vendors. Hoping to nail it down by Saturday because it seriously stressed me out at first. Both of these just charge a flat fee for the holiday, no nickle and diming.

The florist! I am debating on creating my vision or saving my budget. I cannot justify spending over $3500 on flowers for one night. I am still debating. It’s the only vendor I have left to decide on.

Our guest list, hands down. There were so many people we wanted to invite but we can't afford to invite everybody.

Guest List! The idea of a small intimate wedding with family & close friends only easily became 150 people and there are still about 20 people we can’t invite (who are friends we’ve each know along the way or colleagues). I really don’t like the idea of a “B List”. How soon before the wedding day in Mid-October do I invite the B Listers without them knowing they didn’t make the A List? Smiley atonished

It might sound really silly, but my hardest decision was my hair. I don't like my hair and tend to ignore it as best i can, lol, so I struggled to find a style I liked that would hold up well with my very thin straight hair. I wish I'd put something in it after I took my veil out, a little headband or comb (or a flower crown, because you probably know by now that I love them, even though that wouldn't have matched well with my dress or the style of my venues or anything).

The date Smiley atonished We both originally wanted a long engagement but chose an 8 month engagement due to the current feelings towards immigrants in our country...it feels so much better now but we are going to do a large anniversary party for our five year!

Choosing my bridesmaids has been definitely the most difficult!
