I'm thinking of having our wedding at local barn in my home town. It's really beautiful during the spring.

We got married at an event venue on the Hudson River in NYC.

It had a bar, a balcony over the river, and, essentially large garage doors for windows that could open up the entire side of the building facing the river.

The view alone was worth it, but they also had a great caterer.

We are having our ceremony in an outdoor chapel in the Texas Hill Country and our reception on the Lake on a Riverboat. The views are spectacular!

We are getting married in our church, which is the cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of Indiana and the oldest house of worship still in regular use in the state. We are doing a very old world-style wedding and celebrating our Irish (both of us) and Viking/Germanic (him) heritages and the church is perfect!

Our venue is a historic mansion and inn with a 4 star resturant. We absolutely love it. We are having a Christmas wedding, too.

We chose a gorgeous country club in Long Island both for the aesthetic (the grounds are immaculate) and ease of planning. We are opting for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour and having our reception in one of their immaculate ballrooms. Can't wait!

My front yard. It's pretty basic, a rectangle, a nice blank canvas to work with. My house, which is painted green, on one side, arborvitaes on the opposite side, with a white lilac bush on the end, and a big cedar tree, under which I planted some Misty Glen daffodil bulbs, at the side that will be the front.
