What to wear when eloping

You can wear what ever you want it is typical to wear a slightly less formal attire but it is up to you its still your day... i guess its like a reception right? i havent heard of someone having the party before but why not

Too much for who? It will only essentially be the two of you there, so wear what you want (because whoever told you it would be too much won't be there to see) and enjoy your day!

I'm not sure what you mean by a "wedding party"....Do you mean a bridal party, or a "reception" of sorts?

Anything you want. Get somethin' special, and make some sweet photos in it. There is also NOTHING wrong with spending big on the dress ('cause you're saving big), and getting some classy photos with it on your day!

I agree that you should wear whatever you want! Are you having an elopment package in which they take your photos? If so you can send out wedding announcements with a picture of the two of you when you return. Also, I think a party is deff. in order but IMHO after the two of you return. The invitation to this party can be sent as part of your wedding announcement!

I would wear a shorter dress but still white and I'd still wear a veil. Maybe have him in a suit and tie? or even just a nice shirt and tie...well pants too lol.

I would wear a cute white sundress (if it's warm out) and a short veil. Definitely have a party when you get back! That was people don't fell "left out" since you didn't have a formal wedding.
