Hi all Smiley smile

FH and I are going on our first round of venue tours tomorrow. I'm really excited and nervous. I don't know what the dress code is for situations like this and I was wondering if you all could shed some light. Also, have you noticed if the people in charge of giving us a tour/booking the venue (not sure what the proper terminology is yet, I've been engaged for two weeks lol) judge you based on what you wear? I want to make the best impression without accidentally overdressing.

Thanks in advance!

My husband is an electrician and HVAC who owns his own business and yes he had met me at venues to tour while he was between calls. Yes he sometimes was a little dirty or sweaty but ya know what he had the money to spend on the venue. The venue we picked never called once to complain that he smelled to bad to take his money. I never dressed up to go look at venues. I carry 18 credit hours in college and work taking care of a MRDD man in my home. So I was touring venues between classes and sometimes taking my client with me. So I guess we were a sight LOL. A worn out college student who is way overworked with her fiance that works a somewhat labor required career and in tow was a 51 year old man that on a good day acts 14 LOL. Just take the money LOL.

Wear something nice but you don't need to dress up. We toured FFIL's country club with a no jeans policy so I wore a dress that day to 2 venue appointments.

I think this day and time it's very flexible.
But we are a country rustic venue and we gave people come take our tours in shorts and t shirts But if I were going to a high end very Elegant venue I would dress in a dress or nice pant suit.
