What to wear to after-wedding breakfast

Monica, on September 6, 2018 at 8:28 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 19

The wedding I'm attending this weekend is having their reception at a hotel and a breakfast the next day at 10am. What do you wear to this sort of thing? PJs? Jeans and a nice top? Sundress? I'm not sure what to wear at all!

Thank you!

If unsure I would probably go with the sundress.

I second this. Not too dressy. Not too casual.

Hi Monica! Depending on how fancy the hotel is, you should dress appropriately as if you were going to a typical brunch. It's always better to be overdressed in these situations to show respect for those throwing the breakfast! Something like a pair of pants and a nice top or a sundress would be perfectly fine! I hope this helps!

I'd go with the sundress. They fit in so well to so many things!

    Do not wear PJs!

Is it a more casual diner-style place or is it a bit of a nicer restaurant? I think if it is more casual you can get away with nice jeans and a blouse, if it is dressier I'd opt for a nice maxi dress.

Everyone of these i've been to has been pretty casual. depends on the venue for sure but i'd go with the sundress or jeans/top.

It's pretty casual I just went to one last year. I wasn't expecting it (I missed the email about it lol!) and when the bride mentioned it I was like 'Obviously I'm coming" but secretly was like uh oh because I didn't pack anything. I went super casual because I was also getting into a car and driving 9 hours home afterwards. FH wore jeans and a t-shirt and I wore yoga pants and a sweater and we fit in perfectly.

I'd probably wear whatever was appropriate for the venue. If its a nicer hotel I'd wear a nicer sundress, something comfortable but still dressier than jeans and a t-shirt.

I'd wear a sundress/romper/maxi dress or jeans and a cute top.

I would probably wear a sundress. Depends on the hotel and the dress code for the wedding the day before.

When I've been invited to these, I wore a sundress & wedges if they were in the summer. Jeans & a nice long sleeve shirt & wedges if it were in colder months.

I would say a dress. I'm sure someone will want to take pictures.

Would you seriously think about wearing pjs?
What would you normally wear to brunch?

Whatever you want! You’ve probably spent a ton on the wedding, I wouldn’t worry about the breakfast

Exactly this. PJs should never be on the list of things to wear to a social function.

I am going to wear this top and some yoga pants. But we are having ours in a private home.
