What to toss besides bouquet

The future Mrs. Cody H., on June 30, 2013 at 11:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

So, I've tossed around the idea of having a toss bouquet, but I just can't wrap my head around paying for something that is going to be ripped to shreds and thrown away soon after (even my centerpieces will be reusable--they are all different antique pieces). Therefore, I was thinking about tossing a lightweight clutch or purse. Mom thinks I'll end up injuring someone (which is possible, I have terrible aim). What is something I can toss that's lightweight yet still functional for more than 5 minutes?

While typing this, I thought about tossing a candy bouquet, but that seems just as dangerous.

My florist said she does candy toss bouquets. Like little flowers out of chocolate kisses and suckers. That could be really cute. I am doing a break away bouquet, which will break into 20 single flowers with only 1 having a pink ribbon. Whomever gets the pink ribbon will have the garter put on them.

You can always make a small one out of fake flowers, or, some people keep all the bows from the shower and make one. They use it at the rehearsal and then they toss it at the wedding.

Those are both really great ideas. Maybe I can do a candy bouquet with the shower bows incorporated into it. Okay, I'm a lot more excited about the bouquet toss.

    Thank you, ladies!

Talk to your florist. What mine did is he made the toss bouquet out of the extra flowers not used in the bouquets. He didn't charge me either because he said he would just be throwing them out anyway.

Idk what ur colors or theme is but what about a baby's breath bouquet to toss? I'd imagine it would be lightweight & cheap. I'm not a huge fan of mixing baby's breath with flowers but by itself I think it can be gorgeous & plus it's white. Let the girls rip that one up lol.

I also like the idea of having the florist use left over flowers, but if those are available & not enough for a small bouquet then maybe they can spruce up the cake table or something.

My florist is giving me the toss for free (like Lucky Me said - they are usually made out of the leftover flowers anyways.) I do like the candy bouquet idea though. If I wasn't already getting a free toss then i'd being doing a candy one.

I'm starting to really like the candy bouquet idea. But, if my florist does throw in a free toss bouquet, I'll use that and stick a few lollipops in it just to make it a bit more fun.

Thank you all so much! This is my first thread on WW, and I was uncertain of the responses I'd get. You have been so helpful!
