What to put in hotel gift bags for wedding guests?

I think they’re a very cute gesture that your guests will love.

I’m not having a lot of out of town guests so I wasn’t planning on doing them. My fiancé offered to put me and my bridesmaids in a hotel 🏨 the night before the wedding so I guess I could make them some bags!

We did them. Every wedding I've been at OOT guest at, I've always received one. We had a beach bag, an itinerary, a fan, sunscreen, personalized chap stick, a deck of cards, chips, candy, and personalized UMD cookies. I'm probably missing something...

A lot of things were bought in bulk so I think it was about $5 a bag. Our hotel did not charge to distribute the bags.

Ours sound pretty similar to yours. We are having two water bottles with personalized labels, two snacks (his and hers), a mini pack of aleve, a travel toothpaste, and a pamphlet with some information on what to do in the area & wedding bus schedule. Some other things we are considering are two bags of "wedding breakfast" tea, pepto 2 tablet package, shout portable wipes, a personalized "do not disturb" door hanger, hand sanitizer or some kind of favor from our state (like a Colorado shot glass or something?_. I'm not sure I'd do tissues, since every hotel room will have them?

We did them. I think they ended up being about 7 or 8 bucks per bag. We handed them out at our welcome party.

You're thinking almost exactly what we did. 2 bottles of water, pretzels, cookies, tissues and Advil. I also made do not disturb door hangers which were so fun to see when we were walking through the hotel halls going to breakfast the next day!

Oh, and we spent maybe $5/bag. Buy in bulk! 😊

We're doing welcome bags for our guests that decide to stay in the courtesy block. I'm including: hand sanitizer, deck of playing cards, gum, H2O, tissue, welcome note, chips, and pain reliever.

I am thinking about the bags depending on how many out of town guests we have but I really want to make these door hangers for them which I think I can DIY.

Question for those that had a hotel fee distribute the bags did you pay it or how did you distribute to avoid the fee? Pretty sure my hotel charges so i need to double check, but want to avoid excessive charges on this.

I love a good welcome bag!! I think they're such a nice touch for your guests who have traveled, and having an extra snack and water on hand in your room is so nice as a guest!

I always think you should make sure to include:

- An itinerary for the weekend with key times and transportation info

- A quick thank you note

- Something to drink

- Something to eat

- Advil and something to freshen your breath! (like gum or mints)

I've had several friends also include their wedding favor ahead of time in these bags, and I love it when there are local items included or the extra touch of including your personal favorites!
