What to eat after wedding

Teresa, on August 29, 2017 at 4:48 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 11

So after a lot of stress and pain regarding what to do about the wedding budget but having too many people we kind of have to invite, we decided that after the ceremony, we will have cake, coffee, a first dance, and play a little video, maybe talk a little bit, and leave. Maybe an hour long reception. 2 hours at the most. It's an afternoon wedding that starts after lunch time. And then my FH and I will run off to eat dinner somewhere before going to the apartment we should have for the night/next day before we leave for the honeymoon. So here's the question: What kind of restaurant should I make off limits to go to with my hubby? I know I can't do soup because I'm a mess with that, but what else should I avoid since I'll still be wearing my dress? (Note: I'm mainly asking this for fun. I just wanted to see what people think are dangerous foods to eat in a wedding dress. Like soup. Smiley xd )

What time is your actual wedding? You say "after lunch time" but what exactly does that mean?

If you will be hungry for dinner at the time of your wedding your guests probably will be too..

ETA I guess the answer to your question depends on what food you like to eat and what types of places are near you? This is kind of a weird question to ask a bunch of strangers.

Find a fancy restaurant like a steakhouse or something in your area that you wouldn't normally go to.

I know that question was weird, I'm just excited for the wedding and wanted to get some opinions because I'm excited. *embarrassed face* The wedding is at 2. My hubby and I will be eating really a really early dinner.

We're getting married in Denton. Again, I mainly asked this because I thought it would be fun to see what y'all think would be overly messy foods to eat in a wedding dress. Maybe I didn't word it right. Smiley xd

We had a similar wedding timeline, but H and I went to our hotel room first to change before we went out to dinner.

So you asked our opinion even though you've decided on fuzzy's? Ok..... well Fuzzy's is great but I wouldn't go there in my wedding dress. If you want Mexican I would try Mexican Sugar or something a touch nicer, especially since this is your wedding day. That's just me though.... Denton has a great downtown area too that would have some nice stuff. (I'm assuming Denton tx) you could also go into frisco where the Brazilian steakhouse is

I plan to change from my wedding dress into a tulle skirt and a white, long sleeve bodysuit. I'll dress it up with some accessories, touch up my make up, and we'll go to one of the fancier restaurants in the town. We're looking at a nice steakhouse option ourselves.

My reception ends at 11. I FULLY intend to go In-N-Out Burger afterward and get my double double protein style.

Haha thanks guys! Yes Denton TX. Sorry, I still haven't quite figured out this whole forum thing it would seem. *sweats embarrassedly* I love the bib idea. Smiley xd As for wearing the dress, I paid a good chunk of change for it and would like to wear it as long as I can. Even if I have to pay more to get it cleaned. Smiley xd I also just think it would be funny/fun to go out to eat in the dress. If other brides find it worth it to trash their dress for pics, then I don't feel guilty being willing to eat at a restaurant in my dress for some fun selfies to show my kids in the future. Smiley xd (you guys are great by the way. I love seeing the responses to this)

    Lol wut?

At my wedding, the attendants wrapped a large tablecloth around me. Do that at the restaurant. LOL
