What to do after out private wedding ceremony???

You could really do anything you want, from going out for a meal with just the two of you to having a big reception with everyone you know.

Go to a hotel- like any other couple does after the reception... Order dinner in and start the wedding night early! You could even leave that night for the honeymoon if you wanted.

To me- if you are having a private ceremony and not allowing friends or family to come to it that day, you shouldn't do an event with them that day. Wait a few weeks at least...

My ceremony involves me and FH, the officiant, and two witnesses.

After wards we are having lunch with the officiant and her guest (our treat to her because we love her ) and maybe the two witnesses as well.

Then for dinner that night, we are going to Dave and Buster's in which family and friends can come, congratulate and play games all at their own expense of course, but we have a lot of people coming even with that fact.

What happened to the 10 - 15 people and the gazebo?

So I guess the question is, do you plan to invite those family members out to dinner after your private ceremony to celebrate with you. Or do you want to do some kind of party/reception the next week in a park or someone's backyard. Or if you plan to keep it intimate and just the two of you, then treat yourself to a nice dinner at a Very nice place (if you like) Call ahead, tell them it is your wedding day. Maybe they can put you in a nice private, romantic corner. Get a hotel suite with a big jacuzzi tub and have a fun night. Happy planning with what ever you choose.
