What time does your venue require you to shut it down

I have had zero luck when it comes to finding a venue for the reception and it's already an up hill battle because FH is set on having a d.w in Costa Rica, so we are checking out a few locally and we can not find any thing. There was one that I fell in love with on a private estate but they require every thing to be shut down by 11. Does that seem early to any one else?

We have to be out by midnight, our wedding is planned at 6pm right now but I don't think we'll all be staying until kick out time.

We have to be out by 9 but we're starting at 3 and it's on a Sunday so we didn't think many people would want to party into the wee hours anyway.

Maybe you can have an intimate ceremony and dinner and then arrange to have an after party at a local club. Most venues shut down at midnight.

We're the odd balls, Polish weddings last forever so our reception venue was rented until 4am. Let me tell you, it was a major PITA finding a place even in downtown Chicago that would let us go past midnight or 1am! But at least it helped me narrow down the selections, lol. The only reason we could go so late at our venue is that it's in a commercial area with zero residential zoning or noise ordinances.

Most evening/dinner weddings we attend seem to wrap up around 11 or so, I think that's pretty normal. You can always book an afterparty/bottle service at a club somewhere if you think people will want to keep going.

We have to wrap up the outside party by 1030 but can move the party inside where there is also a dance floor. There is no limit on time after that. We have until 1200 on Sunday to do the majority of the clean up.

Ours says everybody out by 1 and then you can clean up the following morning as long as its done by 10am. but i think we are going to end the party between 11-12 depending on how many people are still out on the dance floor as after 10 we have to pay the dj an extra $50 an hour to stay.

We have the ballroom until midnight but not sure if we have to be cleaned up by that time or if we just have to have all the guests out at that time.

I guess it depends a lot on the crowd! But it isn't some thing I really thought about until we started looking at venues. It seems like it may be easy enough if the younger people want to keep partying going to a bar or club or along those lines.

We have the ballroom for the entire day and night... No time limit and no time that we have to be done by.

Our venue ended at midnight, however, we decided to make our wedding and reception earlier so we can have some time for the wedding night. Smiley winking

Depends on the city ordinances most likely. Similar to how bars can't be open 24/7 most places.

We have to turn off the music and start funneling people out at 10 PM. We'll be having an after party at a local bar.

Mines a vinyard and they require 11 pm latest so I'd say no it doesn't seem that weird. I've heard a lot of brides have after parties.....

One of our choices makes us shut down at 10pm! That is what caused us to want to go look elsewhere to have our wedding. We want to go on until about 12. Most of our guests are from out of town and we want to give the guests what they deserve... a LONG fun night for the traveling and money they had to spend to come.

Reception ends "officially" at 11pm. We have to be fully out by midnight.

Midnight. 11 could work and if you're not ready to be done, then do what the ladies suggested and go to a hotel or something Smiley smile
