What time does your wedding officially get started? What time of day is your ceremony? đź•’
We’ll be taking pictures after the ceremony in the fall and we want sunset pictures. Give or take 45 minutes for the ceremony, 15 or so minutes buffer time, and 30 minutes of family photos before wedding party and then bride & groom photos, we’re thinking 3pm.
We haven’t locked in a specific time yet. But we’re considering 3-8pm or 4-9pm. Most of our guests are traveling from SoCal for our DW in Las Vegas. So FH and I don’t want to lock up their entire evening with our wedding. We want them to still being able to enjoy the rest of their Saturday night on the strip.
Our venue is an empty space and no one can go onto the property to start setting up or decor until 11 am, so we had to start it mid-afternoon. We also wanted to aim to be done around the end of sunset, so we're starting at 2 pm.
We are having our Ceremony and Reception at one location and have to be out by 11 PM so we thought having the Ceremony around 2:00 or 3:00 PM was the best option. Will be at the Venue pretty early to set up (and drink with the wedding party LOL) around 10 or 11 AM. This way the wedding party can get ready or get to know one another before the Ceremony and we can visit friends/family after words!!!
To tell you the truth, I'm not even sure right now! LOL The venue where we are having the reception is also the place of our ceremony. I have put things on hold right now because we're doing our premarital counseling. But starting next month, it's full steam ahead!
More than likely, it will be a late start 5 or 6 pm. I need time to get myself together!
Our ceremony is starting at 230, and we're planning the reception to start around 4-430 because we're doing wedding photos between ceremony and reception, so that will give some of our guest time to get downstairs, find seats, get some appetizers, and mingle! The bar should help some of my family open up a little so by the time we're finished, everyone should be ready to party!!
