What theme would you call this venue?

Michelle, on October 10, 2019 at 11:14 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 12

I found my place, I’m trying to think of the style/theme...I think it matches me and fiancé where we like the elegance but also the mix of rustic and simplicity but not too rustic/country. What do you think? I'd like to tone down the rusticness since we're not country, so no burlap, lace, no mason jars, etc. Maybe use more of a gold/mercury platter, stands, and vases.

Here are are photos from a photographer:

Also so here’s a couple others, see below:

Hmm...definitely looks rustic to me. Even with the light fixtures that seem a bit "modern" considering, the reception area still has barn doors and the chairs they have remind me of a rustic/chic style.

I like the elements of rustic chic I guess but I just don't want to seem too "country" because it's not us lol. So I'm trying to tone it down?

    Rustic Glam!

It does have the homey feeling of a rustic wedding, but I'd say it leans more towards elegance than country. It also has more of a traditional feel to it being that the reception space itself seems to be a ballroom.

Here are some examples of rustic glam weddings"

It doesn't look rustic country to me at all. It looks more Mediterranean, Ojai valley, tuscan terrace to me personally. When I think rustic or country I invision reds, oranges, hay, dirt, exposed stone, wood, pbr cans, flannel jackets, rice crispie treat cakes....haha. Especially if you incorporate cool tone decor and flowers, you will avoid the down home country feel altogether.

The inside kind of reminds me of that cool jazz club from Good Fellas where Henry takes his wife on a date. Or that Ashanti music video Foolish (modeled after that scene).

I would say a modern rustic/woodsy. The inside isn't really rustic to me, just the ceremony area. But I definitely wouldn't call it "country", so I wouldn't worry about that. If anything, I'd call it outdoorsy/woodland rather than country (just because of the greenery). Beautiful venue!

Okay, good. I was worried that people would think if I tried to make it more "elegant" if people would be confused and think I needed to add more country to it. Thanks all for the input! This gives me more ideas to play with.

@Roxana, those are beautiful pics! I like it. Thank you! We didn't feel like ballrooms were our style although beautiful! We visited some places and loved the look of chandeliers but it didn't feel "us".

Rustic Glam is what we are going for too. Rustic wasn’t the feeling we were going for because we aren’t doing anything country whatsoever.

Makes sense. You can definitely dress it up. It's all in the decor that you get.

I don’t know what you call it, but I would say that it’s a very lovely venue.
