What percentage of your budget does your venue cost?

Yeah, I suck at math. X-D

We are having a DW, so our venue is our ceremony site and reception site. There is no fee to rent it, however, we are paying for rooms for family and the DJ. It comes with our table cloths only. I am bringing in my caterer, and she is bring the rentals(china,flatware and glassware). I am including the cake with this budget number. The total is $3900 K of our $7 K budget. The rest of the budget is really decor, flowers, invitations, favors, and the very costly booze. However, that $7K does not include any attire, jewelery, bans, DJ or photographer(gratis) or honeymoon.

The venue will host the ceremony and reception. It was $1,200 for the entire day.

Granted, that doesn't include ANYTHING....just the location- BUT it's absolutely beautiful! The quote from the caterer for 125 ppl (appetizers, salads, crab cake and prime rib, open bar, all rentals including tent, tables, dancefloor and stage for band) is $13,500. We were actually pretty happy with this, considering a waterfront wedding near Annapolis can cost as much as $150 to $200 per person!

Our venue is 24% of our budget!! I found this amazing venue that is really affordable! It is a beautiful place outdoors. It is a private residence on 15 acres of land. They have tuned it into a wedding venue. Its vintage and unique, really cool place. You can bring in all your own vendors so it keeps the price really low. The venue is abut $1800 for us but it is based on the amount of people coming. We have 200 so it was 1800. It includes tables, chairs, linens, etc. My budget is 7500 and I have 200 people coming and this place is keeping my in budget. Let me know if you need any help or want the info. Ours is about 65%, it includes both venue for reception & ceremony, food, drinks, all linens, chiavari chairs & 150 white folding chairs for the ceremony and a 4 tier cake
