In your coke? We will be stocking our own bar and I am doing 2 different liquor drinks but I do NOT drink whiskey so I have no idea on this one. Also would like to be cost friendly (not bottom shelf but not like 80 bucks a bottle). Thanks guys

LoL. I'm a sales rep for a wine & spirits distributor. I actually don't drink much -- hence why my samples last so long. I've usually got open wine, so I mostly drink that.

I remember you telling me that in another thread. I'm a manager of a liquor store in VA, so i see those bottles all day every day. I think there's only one or two in your picture that I don't recognize

H prefers bourbon so Maker's Mark, Woodford's Reserve, Wild Turkey.

Personally, I'd spend a few more dollars and get something other than Jim or Jack. There's a reason its cheap. I'd rather get a good smooth bourbon or whiskey that won't leave guests with that killer hangover. My husbands go to is Blantons as of now {{and I'm biased since I work at the distillery}}.

Trisha, if your decanter is lead crystal, you may not want to store your liquor in it long term. Just put the liquor in the decanter when you want to serve it. Supposedly, the lead in the crystal can leach into the liquor.

Jack for mixing, I mean afterall, if you're mixing it with soda, it doesn't have to be great....

    Makers Mark is our upgrade.

My favorite is a sour mash whiskey - Southern Comfort (preferably straight but mixed with coke is okay).
