What kind of shoes did you wear to shop for wedding dresses?

Sorry if this is a silly question...I'm trying on wedding dresses for the first time this weekend and I'm wondering if I should bring flats, heels, or if it even matters? I guess for my ceremony I'd wear heels but might switch to something more comfortable later? I'm not sure...haven't gotten that...

I ended up finding heels that went along with my venue and theme that I know I would love to wear the day of and then wore them to look for the dress.

I honestly wasn't wearing shoes. I was in sandals and then took them off while trying on dresses

I ended up barefoot the whole time. no shame, ha.

you'll just need the shoes you want to wear when you go for alterations. Have fun!!!

You don't need to bring any, they'll have a pedastal. Unless you are WNBA talk you don't need shoes for this appointment. The shops I went to preferred for everyone to wear socks or nothing because it is so much easier to get in and out of dresses and you don't need them anyways.

I took heels to my first appointment, but they told me to not waste my time with them. You only really need them for alterations, so I'd skip them because they get in the way.

I also did flip flops/barefoot. I did find/buy my shoes before I went to try on my dress for the second time, to decide to buy it, so I brought them with me that time. I wanted to make sure I liked the way they looked with the dress, even though the dress was still way too long.

Too much of a pain in the butt to keep taking your shoes off and putting them back on for each dress.

I ended up bare foot like many others have said. No real reason to wear specific shoes. If you are worried about being barefoot you could always wear shoes with socks and just leave the socks on between dresses.

I just wore my normal everyday shoes, and ended up barefoot when trying dresses on! When shopping it really doesn't matter. I didn't even have my shoes when I went dress shopping and none of the consultants asked about them.
