Oh wow Sheena, everything you stated is exactly our budget and plan. I wasn't sure how persons would feel if I told them they are welcome to celebrate but they'll just have to pay for their plate. But seeing your comment I feel confident to do as such.

Our budget is 10k including majority of everything. We estimate around 100 people. We would like to stay below that because we’d rather use money for our down payment on a house. We are being very frugal.
I budgeted for $15k for up to 150 people but it’s looking like it’ll be more like $20k because I’d the extras I want. It’s not factoring in our rings or honeymoon. My engagement ring shouldn’t be included I don’t think. That way blow that budget way over 😂
Our wedding will be on a Saturday in June 2021 and our biggest ticket item will be the venue followed by catering and photographer. I dont I’m hoping my mom can contribute towards the alcohol or flowers 🤞🏾
$15k for around 325 people! Going with savings where I don’t think is necessary but yet doing some unique fun stuff like having an icecream vendor set up and live music!
$2000 for 15 people diy everything except some of the food. got prof photographer and videographer ring and my wedding attire not included in that
I feel like it all depends on where you're from, a 10,000 wedding for 150 people in one state could the same exact wedding as a $25,000 wedding for 150 people somewhere else.
Originally wanted to spend $12-14k of our own pocket because family told us they would help out some. However they haven’t been able to commit to anything so we increased it to $22k for 85-90 people, including everything (rings, hair/makeup, boarding our dogs, our hotel room, tips for vendors, etc)

11k minus dress and rings with 86 invited guests... we aren’t expecting everyone to show .
I feel nuts when everyone is posting about being under 15K...
FH and I live in Upstate NY and it's expensive here. Most of our budget will be spent on venue/catering and photography.
Our budget is about $34,000 for around 100 people, but I'm positive that we'll come in under this.. This number is for EVERYTHING except the honeymoon. Rings, hotel, attire, all vendors and decor, bridal party gifts and parent gifts.
Since everything is super expensive, we may forego a honeymoon for a while, because that's not in our budget right now. We do have 20 months to pay for everything and save up for day-of expenditures.
We were hoping to stay within a budget of $15k with 60 people, but we’ve quickly surpassed that and are at $21k. But that’s with me low-balling a lot of estimated costs for some things such as the DJ, rings, and dress/alterations/accessories.
I’m thinking we will end up being around $25k! We are still searching for an alternate venue that might be a little cheaper.
Our wedding budget is about 10k but I doubt we spend that much! Our venue ceremony & reception included is $2500. Just waiting on her to send us an estimate on what catering will cost with the venue!
