What is your favorite wedding planning journal?

Mariah, on July 11, 2019 at 11:21 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
I'm still in the beginning stages, but I'm quickly realizing I need some sort of journal to keep my planning thoughts organized. I normally just use a notebook, but don't they have some type of journal made for wedding planning?

I was gifted an actual planner from someone who knew I was getting married. It's really cute and I just use it when I'm writing down anything finalizing. When it comes to a lot of notes and scratches with a bunch of info, I use a notebook.

Have you checked Etsy at all? They often have things like this. Or even hobby lobby.

I've heard people swear by Erin Condren. But I'm happy with my $10 calendar from Walmart.

I just got a planner from target and it works really well. They do have special "wedding planners" on etsy and amazon.

Hey Mariah!! Welcome to the WeddingWire community! Congratulations on your engagement!!

You should definitely check out Amazon for wedding planning journals! There are so many options with such pretty covers! They are also pretty good for showing images of the inside so that you can see what they are like.

There are journals, there's even free pdf worksheets online.
Personally I use an Excel sheet via Google sheets and can access it mostly anywhere. That's really helpful to me.

I have a standard planner for everything already, so I just added my wedding appointments and due dates to that. I created a binder with pocketed tabs for every category to hold onto contracts and notes.

I'm using an Erin Condren wedding planner. It's around $50. It has monthly calendars to keep track of due dates, monthly to-do pages, all sorts of wedding planning pages broken down and LOTS of empty notebook paper. Plus stickers! It's been really helpful for me. Especially since I prefer writing things down as opposed to keeping an online Excel sheet. There's space for vendor contact information, budgeting, song/photo information, guest lists and more.

Edited to add that I keep all of my printed contracts in the folder my venue gave me on my original visit. I keep that folder and my planner on my desk at home.

I LOVE my Erin Condren planner! I have one for the wedding and one for everyday use. It's SO worth the money. (I have a very Type A personality and fits me well)
