What is your Dream Wedding?

Erin, on November 19, 2019 at 12:31 AM Posted in Community Conversations 1 7

I know we're all planning our dream wedding in theory, but sometimes our actual dreams aren't able to come to fruition. I had wanted a large harry potter themed reception with a bunch of people there. If budget wasn't an issue I would LOVE to get married at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, in front of Hogwarts Castle, all my guests would get a really nice wand, we'd have all the classic potter drinks (like Butter Beer and Firewhiskey) as well as potter inspired cocktails, we'd eat at the Three Broomsticks for our reception dinner, people would wear dress robes, and it would be the most magical night of my life. They don't actually say how much it would cost, but I'm sure it would be a small fortune.

If budget wasn't an issue, what would you want to do?

I am super happy with how our wedding turned out, but, as someone who wore a Ravenclaw diadem comb in her hair, and Ravenclaw Vans for the reception...

    Oooooooh, that vision!

But we're going there for our honeymoon, so it all works out!

My dream wedding would have been at this country club where we had an outdoor cocktail area and this beautiful reception inside. I mean what I had wasn't too far off but it also was a more janky version ahahah

Ooh, I love this post! I would totally get married at the Jurong Bird Park in Singapore. I love birds and it's one of the best bird parks in the world!

That sounds super cool! It also sounds like it’d be absolutely beautiful.

I started thinking about it because i was watching Disney Fairytale Weddings on Disney+ xD. The first couple spent about $50,000 for the location in the park alone! ($30,000 for magic kingdom, an additional $20,000 for after hours). It was insane!

I wanted to either elope and get married in a mountain/forest area or at a castle.
we ended up either not having the budget for that as well as husband wanted to have certain people there. Which I completely understand and am glad we did what we did.
However in saying that it still would've been nice and more than okay with me if we at least eloped. Depending on what package we chose we also could've saved thousands of dollars on top of having less stress/issues to deal with. Ultimately there were SO many problems with our wedding day mainly because I was trying to plan it myself and I don't care how organized you are:YOU CANT DO IT. SO STOP. Haha. It was beyond crazy on our wedding day, stressful, and didn't go as planned. Regardless of what happened or didn't go right: it was still our best day ever simply because I can say I married my best friend and get to spend forever by his side. ❤️❤️❤️Still...would've been nice to at least get a planner so ladies. Listen to my advice:save up & get a coordinator or two for at least the day of the wedding. You won't regret it. ❤️💍
