What is your biggest wedding day worry?

Jessie, on January 14, 2020 at 2:28 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 13
I'm mostly worried about people having fun. My FH and I don't party a lot, so basically having this big party/reception is making me nervous. I would hate for it to remembered as a boring wedding.

I'm also worried about the same thing, FH and I aren't partiers so we won't really be killing it on the dance floor lol. We hired a good DJ though, so I'm sure he can keep the party going. Other than that, I'm mainly just concerned about the weather!

I'm worried about crying. Like honestly we were picking out some songs this last weekend and I'm crying during it and I usually don't cry much at all. Then I'm worried about looking at mom during the ceremony because I know she will be crying, then I might start.

A lot of our family is really prissy. I'll just come out and say it. So I'm worried the whole thing will be judged from the food being too casual, not enough alcohol, and it being "boring" since we're not doing a dance floor (it's a 2 hr reception.)

My biggest worry is actually getting my period or getting sick. Also worried it will rain.

I think another was logistics such as people having trouble finding the venue. We had a few have trouble but generally it went fine.

Same. I told my FH I refuse to have Aunt Flo come visit on our wedding. I take non hormonal birth control pills so I may need to stop taking them the week before since sometimes they can cause my cycle to be off a bit.

My biggest worry is rain. Our venue is mostly outside- dance floor and most dinner tables are outside uncovered. If it rains we won't all fit inside and then there won't be dancing. I wouldn't worry too much about other people's abilities to have fun. It's not your job to make sure they're having a good time. If you provide good food and music the rest is up to them. Any social outing is what you make of it. People will either find ways to enjoy themselves or be Debbie downers.

FH have asked people to help with certain issues. Like if anything goes wrong with the vendors, his parents will handle it. If someone is too belligerent, one of his groomsmen will handle it. Or if anyone is just pissing me off, my sister will talk to them.
Any worry you have, see if someone can help you!

Oh no, I would be devastated if I got my period! And definitely don't want to get sick, so thanks for bringing that up. I'm gonna have FH and I take lots of vitamin C the week leading up to the wedding for sure. Our immune systems probably won't be the best with all the stress.

I can relate to that! My family is pretty laid back. But when I've told his family some details, like having my 6 yr old nephew walk me down the aisle, doing online RSVPs, or even doing my own DIY centerpieces, I've gotten weird looks. Because they may not be all "traditional" ways.
