What is unique about your wedding makes it your wedding & no one else's?

A coffee bar sounds absolutely lovely! I wish we had options like that in our little town. I absolutely love the little personalizations couples put on their weddings. Ours is a Marvel theme with an emphasis on Captain America. We had our invitations customized for us. My sister made our cake topper to look like us and match our theme. I’m really excited. We are eloping Friday (for personal medical reasons) with a ceremony planned for November 7th and I’m still torn about the elopement. Mostly because it feels like it takes away from the day we’ve been planning for so long. Here is a picture of our RSVP cards. I came up with the wording and I absolutely love what our designer did with them.

We themed our wedding around our love of our baseball team (the Phillies, which is a lifelong lesson in pain and misery), and also our acting.

Mine will be very casual. My FH and I will be wearing casual attire. What kind of bride does that?!

Several things about ours was unique I felt:
1) had a boba bar
2) we got married in the place we met which was church for ceremony and our reception was where we had our third date at

We loved Kauai when we went for vacation, and at the time we had joked about having a wedding there. 2 years later we married in Kauai, and kept it very laid back. We didn’t even see the venue before the ceremony! It was an absolutely perfect weekend getaway, and right before covid!

My wedding plans have mostly been scuttled but no matter what, we will have a wine that my dad bought when I was born and saved for my wedding day. Different kind of unique but really special to me coming from a wine lover family.

View Quoted Comment On your ceremony? Like, street clothing? When I and dh signed our marriage certificate we went with street clothing. No make up, no hair do. We came, signed, go home, sleep. Like any other day.

Our biggest thing had to be our Catholic faith because we are the only practicing members of our family. Having a really gorgeous mass that we spent a ton of time on made our wedding feel like us.


In general, we just love tradition, so our minimony was very classic and our celebration will be too. Old fashioned invites, clean and delicate lines, foods that are beloved by our families, dancing to my grandparents' wedding song. In a way, what makes our wedding ours is that it is so un-quirky. We are definitely the only couple in our family having a traditional affair, and its just something we really love.
