What Is The Hardest Part Of Wedding Planning

To me the hardest part and that is that I just started is choosing a venue. I emailed over 30 venues and saw 9 so far. Only 3 we really like. By next Saturday night we make our final decision for the venue. Here I thought the hardest part was to chose a wedding dress to make sure it's the perfect one and looking for the type of dress I wanted. Nope the venue is so far the hardest part.

So what is the hardest part of planning your wedding?

Choosing a photographer and a videographer because I must have looked at at least 50-60 portfolios and highlight videos. I finally narrowed it down and I signed the contract for photo on Sunday and I have to sign the contract for video before 4/14.

The most difficult part of planning my wedding has been involving my mother in the planning process and keeping her from going WAY over budget without hurting her feelings. Being the bride, I just want to say, "let's do it!" to all of her wonderful ideas. Until I see the price tag Smiley sad. I think she gets upset because she thinks I don't like her ideas, but that's not it at all. She has a much better eye for event planning than I do and I am so grateful for her help. But if it doesn't fit in the budget, it just can't happen. I hate being the budget police.

Picking dresses for myself and bridesmaids. I'm incredibly indecisive, hate shopping, and always have buyers remorse so this isn't fun.

Hardest part for me is getting my FH input. He says he don't care. Lol.

Most definitely finding a venue. We've looked at about 30 and gotten quotes from an additional 20. We had selected one and now on the fence about if we just jumped the gun because we didn't want to miss out on the date we had selected.

Finding the right shade of purple for our color scheme has also been one of issues lol (takes away the stress about the venue)

When you find out how many people can't do a task as simple as responding to the RSVP. I had a response card I sent and also provided the information to RSVP online, so they could do it two ways. Here I sit today, the day after I wanted RSVP responses and only 53% of people have RSVP'd....... :/ Now to take extra time to contact all those because that number is way too far off to guesstimate for the caterer....

Venue was definitely the most time consuming but I think sticking to a budget is the hardest part. Things add up very quickly!

For me it's the wait. We were engaged last June and my FH wanted a fall wedding. Last fall was too soon. But now if planned so much and it feels like all were doing is waiting.

Venue for sure! We are doing a DW to Montana so everything hinged on where the venue would be! Once that was settled everything else kind of fell into place :-)

Also agree with the wait! Got engaged last June and we wanted a winter wedding. We decided to wait since we knew everyone would have to travel and we didn't want people to have to scramble for money or time off to travel.... Now 9 months in and the almost 9 months left feels like it'll take forever even though the last 9 flew by!

    Eta:words are hard tonight!

Honestly, for us the hardest part has been the little details. The big details (venue, dress, photographer, etc. ) were easy; but it's the picking decorations and the flowers that have been the hardest part.

Waiting.......... Waiting for the time to get all the items done, waiting for appointments, waiting for the big day.

Too me the most stressful parts have been finding a venue that I liked that had the same date as the church. And getting all the BP to order their dresses and tuxs
