What Is The Hardest Part Of Wedding Planning

To me the hardest part and that is that I just started is choosing a venue. I emailed over 30 venues and saw 9 so far. Only 3 we really like. By next Saturday night we make our final decision for the venue. Here I thought the hardest part was to chose a wedding dress to make sure it's the perfect...

By next Saturday night we make our final decision for the venue. Here I thought the hardest part was to chose a wedding dress to make sure it's the perfect one and looking for the type of dress I wanted. Nope the venue is so far the hardest part.

So what is the hardest part of planning your wedding?

The venue part was definitely the struggle.

The hardest part of planning a wedding is balancing the value of having lots of loved ones present to witness and affirm your commitment, but realizing that spending tons of money wont necessarily improve the quality and longevity of your marriage.

For us, because we are doing a DW, it has been hard to plan everything with only having an idea from the Internet and our wedding coordinator (who has been LOVELY) what it will look like. Not being able to fully envision everything is driving me crazy (for example, we still don't know what kind of tables we are having (one long table, tables of 6 or 8) so the seating chart remains 3 different ways until we know for sure haha). We leave for Mexico in 4 weeks today, and I honestly wish we were eloping!

Before the finishing touches, the hardest part was colours for me. I LOVE colour, and I was really indecisive about what colours the girls would wear. It wasn't until DECEMBER (we started planning in February 2015) that we finally settled on a colour scheme. I am grateful for it, but it was tough!

Looks like it will be invitations, it's not something I want to spend a lot of money on but definitely needs to be something classy. Been looking online and can't seem to find one I really like yet.

Hands down the photographer. My fiancé and I are so big with pictures that we had to find one who fit our style. Luckily we think we found an amazing one who thankfully speaks Spanish too so he can instruct my FH's family when we do pictures. If not, I could picture it being a hassle with my fiancé screaming orders at everyone.

For me, it's definitely the budget. I often fall into the little details trap and spend money when I truly don't need to. Also, patience... I've never been a patient person and waiting 452 days to marry the love of my life is really freaking hard. 139 to go!

Convincing myself that dropping all these thousands will be worth it lol. I'm super excited and can't wait but I get a little lightheaded writing out the prices of everything and seeing all those big numbers

So far I would have to say ceremony decor. Our wedding is outside and it being winter I can't see what it will look like for summer. We have to figure out how to properly decorate it. Very frustrating!

Its a toss up between the reception venue and the caterer for us. I just want it to be August already!

Venue was easy for me. I saw a photo and fell in love. it was my dream vision in real life.

Hardest part is my wedding planner. She stresses me out like crazy. I've stopped trying to involve her. Every time I talk to her I feel like having a panic attack. She's supposed to help, but she doesn't see my vision. :/

Good luck with finding a venue!

I knew the caterer I wanted, but choosing what style of dining was very frustrating. At least, I allowed it to be very frustrating. My MIL insisted a plated dinner was best, my husband wanted stations and I felt torn between what my husband wanted and what guests would prefer. I eventually got over it and went with the one thing my husband was interested in and wanted. The food was phenomenal and the guests loved it. I still get the occasional compliment on how good the food was.
