What Is The Hardest Part Of Wedding Planning

To me the hardest part and that is that I just started is choosing a venue. I emailed over 30 venues and saw 9 so far. Only 3 we really like. By next Saturday night we make our final decision for the venue. Here I thought the hardest part was to chose a wedding dress to make sure it's the perfect one and looking for the type of dress I wanted. Nope the venue is so far the hardest part.

So what is the hardest part of planning your wedding?

Hardest part so far is waiting lol. Guest list has been revised multiple times but I think we got it now. The biggest headache was photographer and prices for photography. I had two I loved one included albums and one didn't for same price and I went with the one that didn't because quality seemed slightly better. I am planning to make my own album as I love doing things like that anyway but I keep worrying if I should have went with other one despite some contract discrepancies and emails taken the wrong way. Woosahhhh

I'm most afraid of RSVPs and people saying they'll come and no show.

I agree with you on the venue! I had no help contacting venues, emails, phone calls, scheduling tours and that was all so stressful! And on top of that my wedding is 4 hours away (back where we both grew up) and that just made it that much harder. But, we have our venue booked now, thank God.

Money stress? The overwhelming stress of it all? i just got into an argument with FH about the bridesmaids robes. I wanted the pretty satin ones. He says they're a waste and we should do luxury terry robes they will actually use later. I told him that won't look cute in pics and then... It went downhill from there. He's ok with spending $50 or more on luxury terry robes, but insists the $17 satin robes are a waste. I'm not sure why he cares. WE are the ones wearing it. Maybe he's freaking out about spending like $60,000 in a matter of weeks....

Mrs. Young we have the date month and date but you are in 2016 and I am in 2017

Tonight we went to YouTube and looked up some weddings that were in the 3 places we are considering. It's hard to look for one.

The hardest part was all the little stuff actually! I can't decide on a centerpiece and have changed my mind probably 6 times already! Same with picking BM dresses or even my shoes!

So far, dealing with RSVPs has been my biggest headache. In general, vendor contact has also been hard given the distance.

Guest list was the hardest for us. FH has a huge family and tons of friends, trying to narrow them down was really hard.

For me it was not really having that much support and help with the planning. I've done mostly everything myself.

We listened to 10 different bands, before we came to a decision. My Mom threatened to buy all the guests kazoos, so they could entertain themselves.

Then the week before RSVPs were due, my Mom's in-laws (why is it always the in-laws?), wanted me to add to the guest list to invite a toddler, nicknamed "the little monster", and relatives my parents don't even have the address for. My very demanding grandmother wrote repeated e-mails insisting weddings are family reunions. She didn't offer to contribute one cent, of course.

For me it was the venue! I am having an outdoor wedding and wanted something scenic. Where I live isn't very scenic.

You're still picking a venue and you think THAT is hard? woof... you have no idea what is in store for you!

I'm not good at visualizing things so meeting with the florist and trying to picture a centerpiece is kind of hard for me. but once I decided, I moved on to the next thing. you can't spend time second guessing yourself. decide and move on.

For me it was the guest list. I was fortunate that I already knew where I wanted the reception and it was within my price range. It is also a place that I know will be good and have no worries there.

The guest list was stressful because you want to make sure that you include everybody and stay within budget. We worked it out and it was fairly painless, but that was probably the hardest thing.

Venue was hard for us. It sets the entire tone of your wedding and is the biggest impact on your budget (for all-inclusives).

However, designing our own invitations was hard too. Mostly because of (FH) procrastination and lots of missed self-imposed deadlines. We started working on them in January and got them out March 10. Right on time but I really the addressing and assembling to be less hectic. Plus, we kept getting comments from others that we should be hurrying up with them. (not helpful)

Oh and deciding on a makeup artist (or even whether not to have one) has been difficult too. My wedding is in 6 weeks and I still don't have one!

The hardest part for us was by far the venue. It was so incredibly frustrating finding one that we liked that was within budget and a reasonable distance from us. I think we got somewhere around 15-20 quotes and toured 5 venues before finally finding the one we loved.
