My husband and I are 7 years apart and he is the oldest. Besides the fact that my husband and my older sister are the same age, our age difference has never been a problem in our relationship. I actually wouldn't even consider that a problem but it was just weird when I introduced him to my sister, lol. The best part about our age difference is how similar and yet different we are. I grew up in the 90's and he grew up in the 80's so our life experiences are not always the same but they are similar. I love that he can teach me different things and he loves my light-hearted perspective on life.

What is the age gap between you and your partner? Who is the oldest? Has the age difference ever been a problem in your relationship? What is the best part about the age difference in your relationship?

He is 3 years, 8 months, 9 days older than me! I know it by heart because our age gap was kind of a hassle since we got together in our teens.

He’s only 3 months and 5 days older than me! We’ve bonded by talking about things both of us loved when we were younger.

Yes! Other people also tell my husband and I that it's interesting that we have a 7 year age gap.

I hadn't considered retirement when thinking about the age gap between my husband and I.

I'm 65 now, so it's no longer exactly an academic issue.

I won't say that age is just a number. It affects things like when you are settled in your career, when you are ready to have babies, when you are ready to retire, and when you are ready for some kind of assisted living. But it's only one thing, not the only thing. People who love each other can figure out how to get around the challenges.

I agree, for me age is not a deal-breaker unless your underage.

Nine months, I like to tease him and call him old man since his birthday comes first.

She's a cradle robber. I'm 5 weeks and 1 day younger than her.

I’m 2 and a half years older than my FH. Despite me being slightly older, I’m probably the youngest woman he has ever dated. He is quite mature so sometimes I feel he is older than I am. We are generally on the same wavelength so age doesn’t make a difference. If anything we have more issues related to cultural differences.
