What is most important about the wedding day?

I would say Marrying your partner is the most important thing about a wedding day!

Before the covid drama, a smaller (70 person) wedding with closest family and friends was our plan. But, after a 1 year postponement and 2 location/state changes, we recently decided to elope. We understand that the marriage is more important than the party right now. So we’ll happily celebrate our 1st anniversary with a celebration including our family and friends next October!! 🥳🥳

I agree with the others, legally committing to my partner and being recognised as a unit/family is the most important part for me.

That it's in front of friends and family is an important element to me, because of course, my fiance and I already know we're committed to each other. We live together and are actively building our life together etc, so part of the importance of marriage to us is making those things we already know we feel for each other more public. It's an unequivocal announcement for the whole world that we are each other's person.
