What helps you to stay positive?

Marina, on April 2, 2020 at 1:21 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 6

All these news and worried people around just don't let me relax a little bit and take a deep breath. I know it will be over and maybe very soon, but I need some more things to take positivity from... How do you keep it up?

I'm trying to stop watching the news. I've read somewhere that when you don't follow all these catastrophic data, you feel much better. It really works but you'll have to make an effort to stay out of it. I'm learning things online, like a drawing tutorials on youtube and photo editing. I've found a free program called Photodiva to do that, so yeah, I'm drawing and learning new stuff. It is difficult tho, when all your relatives can't stop talking about the situation!

Try not to watch too much of the news. Maybe find a new hobby or try something you’ve always wanted to do. Do FaceTime or Zoom coffee or happy hours with your friends to stay in touch. Go for walks and listen to music. I think the most important thing is to try to stay healthy and stay home right now. Good luck.

I like what pp suggested about finding a new hobby. i get asked so often about how am i doing with quarantine and it's like -- it doesn't feel any different for me except for my weekends where i like to go out. but aside from that, my weekdays are the same because i still have to keep my normal work hours except virtual. and then my weekends i just fill with my hobbies that i never got much of a chance to do before anyway. so take it as this is newfound time for you to learn something new or to do more things that you hadn't had the time before to do.

I let myself cry if I need to but I also like to write down a few things I’m grateful for each day.

I dont watch the news, I focus on what I do have and how much I'm loved. What's meant to be will be and there's not much you can do to control it.
