We did a Sunday afternoon and it was great! Literally no one complained about it being a Sunday, because it ended by 5pm. Some people actually told us they preferred this to a Saturday (as people from out of town had all day Saturday to travel to the wedding instead of having to take off Friday, leave late Friday night, or early Saturday morning) and then could travel home Sunday evening.
It was also super nice for us because I got to spend basically the entire day and evening with my husband. After our reception ended at 5, we changed, sat down and rested for a while, and then went to dinner with about a dozen friends at 6:30pm. Then 4 of them came back to our hotel suite and we all talked until midnight. It was great because we got to continue the celebration and spend quality time with some people after the wedding!
We are getting married on a friday! Its $2 cheaper per person with no minimum that we needed to meet. Plus we loved the idea of being able to spend a longer weekend with family and friends who will be coming in from out of town and out of state
Saturday, and wasn't considering another day in the week.

Thursday - the price doubles for weekends during the high season, so it's a compromise to get the best weather for our outdoor wedding in Big Sur. So far most of our closest family and friends can make it, and will take a long weekend to celebrate and relax.
Getting married on a Saturday eben though it is cheaper to have a wedding on a weekday or a Sunday. But because we are getting married in May it's easier to have a Saturday
Mine is Sunday. I was actually nervous about keeping it on Sunday and was thinking about switching it to Friday but this made me feel better. Most of my guest are out of state and its cheaper to fly out on a Monday anyway, right? haha
Sunday! Most of my guest and bridesmaids live out of town. With that said, to not put extra burden on my bridesmaids, rehearsal dinner Thursday evening, bach party Friday, brunch and spa day Saturday and get married Sunday. I was iffy about Sunday but my venue is like 3,000 more on a Saturday.
Saturday, I wanted to make sure most of our friends and family could make it. Friday’s would be to hard for people to come if they couldn’t take off work and Sunday’s would make it difficult for people traveling back home to work the next day. So for us it wasn’t even a consideration to change it up.
