Only if you're going to a red wedding.

I think anything other than white is fine. I'd also try to avoid wearing the same color as the bridesmaids (if you know the wedding colors)

Traditionally guests were to avoid wearing white, red or black. These days, as long as you avoid white/ivory and don't intentionally match the bridesmaids, I think you're fine.

I think it's okay to wear any color except white. Red/black are fine!

Anything but white! I've unintentionally worn the same color as the bridesmaids but obviously didn't have a bridesmaid dress so it was totally fine too!

My mom is going to a wedding tonight and I helped her pick out a black dress. I think as long as you don't wear white you're fine.

I see white every week, and black, and red too.

Red is fine. So is black. Any of these color "rules" you may have heard are outdated.

Sure. Just avoid white, and probably don't match the bridesmaids if you know what they are wearing.

I think red is fine but I generally avoid it bc to some red is considered flashy, like you're trying to take attention away from the bride

I've been told that because red is such a bold color it's best to avoid it. I don't see many guest wearing red at the wedding venue I work at.

My family avoids red. Too bright. My grandfather used to say it was scandalous to wear red at a wedding....

I don't get these color rules.... I'm wearing a red dress to my cousin's wedding in July because I have it and I like it. If they think a young engaged woman is scandalous for wearing a different dye, so be it.

Amy color but white/ivory is fine. I wore a darker shade of red to a wedding last fall. I would avoid the bright red color though.
