What color should a widow wear?

Whatever color you want. If you don't want white, there are gorgeous ivory and champagne dresses.

I would never bat an eye at any bride- second, third, tenth marriage, whatever- wearing white or ivory. Actually, most brides these days wear ivory (I did! First time bride!) because most people don't look good in white!

I'm sorry for your loss. There are lots of brides today that wear color, even the first time around! Champagne, blush pink, soft peach, blue or purple, even black! Try on a few different things and see what makes your heart sing. Good luck and have fun shopping.
