Things that have been said to me since I started planning...

-Where is my invitation?

-People can wear white to weddings. That is not a bad thing anymore.

-What color are the bridesmaids wearing? I want to match

-If you are family, you don't have to RSVP.

-You know Im coming...why would I need to send an RSVP?

-I will let you know the name of my guest.

-I told {insert random family/friend/person that is not invited} they could come too?

-Can we stay at your house that week?

-Send me a picture of your dress.

-How much are yall spending?

-Whose all invited?

-Is {insert random name} coming? If he/she is coming, Im not.

-It's just one more person!

-Why are my kids not invited?

- That doesn't include my kid, right?

-I'm going to come and help you get dressed.

- Can you ask your mom if I can stay with her?

So WW what questions/statements have you heard that make you want to pop a Xanax, put on your huggy jacket and go play in the bouncy room?

"Oh well you know I am coming!"

STOP. I KNOW MY MAID OF HONOR IS SHOWING UP TOO, BUT I STILL NEED TO KNOW IF SHE WANTS STEAK OR FISH.

Mine is "I told XXX she'd be the flower girl, its going to break her heart that she's not invited to the wedding" well... she's 5... and you told her that she'd be flower girl without knowing if she was or not... and there is not any children at the wedding period. So...

Favorite one: "I didn't get an STD, I thought *insert FH's name* and i were close"- Classmate that we only see when we go to other people's party.

Our wedding is adult only. Response: I'm bringing my kids, where will i put them- Friend WHO wants to be my DOC to get her feet wet. Pls tell me how she can be a DOC & bring her kids.

Why isn't your wedding in the DMV. I have to fly to LA.- FH's family who lives in Pennsylvania and isn't contributing to the wedding. Mam you have no say.

Last but not least: My sister's husband's sister asked me if her husband's sister can come to the wedding.

-"You better not put me at HIS/HER table!"

-"I don't want you inviting them, I don't like them!"

-"What color dress should I wear?" and then get something completely different... then don't ask!

-"Please don't have (insert food allergy here) food." ok, yeah. I'll cater my entire wedding to your dietary needs. Just stay away from what you know you can't eat.

My mom, "What color is the bridal party wearing?"

Brother, "What color are the groomsmen wearing? I want to be distinguished as part of the bridal party." YOU ARE NOT PART OF THE BRIDAL PARTY, YOU ARE FAMILY and don't need to match!!

I had my brother insinuate that he was gonna wear a tux as well and I can't possibly figure out why.

Everyone seems to want to see the dress and wants to offer their help either with food or little things...we are having a caterer...

My jacket was pink...now its black!

Also there's one specific friend of the family who wants to match the bridesmaids. Not gonna happen!

My straight jacket is blue - hopefully it will have a nice calming effect while I'm wearing it!?!

    * (Multiple OOT guests) We can't afford the hotel for more than one night, but we are coming on Thursday (wedding is Saturday) and staying until Monday because we want to go to MOA while we are in MN. Can we stay at your house? NO - if you can't afford the hotel, you can't afford to spend a weekend shopping at MOA!

    * Would you mind if I wear the MOG dress you bought for me as my wedding dress (FMIL is getting married 2 weeks after us)? Go ahead - it's PLUM - it's a beautiful dress, glad you will wear it more than once!

*I think your Bridal Shower should be a surprise...wouldn't that be fun? um, no? Every minute of every day is planned at this point for maximum organization: work, kids, kid's activities, FH's changing work schedule, pre-marital counseling, vendor appointments, and on and on - a surprise shower at an unknown date and time would NOT make me happy or be fun!

ETA: One more: Is FH cooking since he is a chef? NO NO NO

Otherwise questions seem to be general curiosity/excitement: color scheme, how many in BP, where is the ceremony/reception, etc.

    Mines was red.

I got "what's your wedding colors. I like to dress like the bridal party."

"I thought you were marrying another Mr. Smith oh course we will be coming"( This was after we sent stds with picture) two days before the wedding

    Where is my invite?

    Do I have to RSVP?

I gave your Mom my address so you can send me an invite.

And my favorite, my MIL who was just on time for the wedding AND missed the memo that we needed her for pictures.

I am always asked "why are you waiting so long?" we got engaged last March. Another good one "You aren't having a Catholic wedding!?". Two of the questions that drive me bonkers.

Blue straight jacket for me please!

Yeah potato salad is nixed. I've been threatened jokingly with co-workers showing up because I'm wearing a dress for "blackmail" lol. Gotta love being a tomboy... The world ends when we do something "girly".

Not that huge compared to you guys, but my mom said "they would deal with it" when I mentioned the wedding would be NY instead of Nova. FH's grandma was in the hospital for 6 out of the past 12 months.... She can't travel far! So sorry its more inconvenient for you. Jeez.

My strait jacket is emerald green.

My straight jacket is ombre: it ranges from a white-knuckled hue to the shade of red that usually indicates your hands are ringed around someone's neck.

"My 7 month old granddaughter better be asked to be a bridesmaid"

Not a flower girl, not even just to be invited to an all-adult wedding. But flat out a bridesmaid! This was when the "bridesmaid" was still a fetus.
