What are your signature drinks?

What are your signature drinks? Are they going with your theme or are they the couples favorite drinks? Are you naming them something cute wedding wise or using their actual drink names? Or are you skipping this totally? His/hers Manhattan Mason Dixon Watermelon Refresher

Ours will be a blueberry Moscow mule and a lavender Collins. We aren't naming them anything special. Both are bright flavors for our spring wedding.

FH is 5.5 years sober, and I am a 1-2 times a year drinker. So our signature drink is going to be red birch beer- it ties into our theme, which is DIY/Rustic/Birch! If I can't make this happen the way I want it to, our signature drink will be a Shirley Temple, because it is my favorite!

They sound amazing! We are naming ours after our two dogs - Mattie & Sophie as a way to incorporate them into the wedding since we can't have them there.

Are signature drinks typically pre-poured? I haven't decided if we're doing them but I hadn't realized that that's how it works. I think we would rather have all drinks prepared fresh

Our theme is Harlem Renaissance so we decided on speakeasy drinks. His is Old Fashioned and mine is Bacardi Cocktail.

My first comment! Yay Smiley smile We are doing a Jameson/Gingerale for my FH and mine will be a Lavender Lemondrop. We have an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding, so we will have little "drink me" straws. After cocktail hour we are only serving beer and wine.

We keep going back and forth with Christmas-themed signature drinks VS just having 3-4 alcohols and 4-5 mixers with garnishes. I’m big into silly puns and yesterday I came up with a twist on a Gin and Tonic (adding cranberry) and calling it “Gin-gle all the way” 😂
But then we’d need to do another drink since not everyone likes gin! We had thought about doing a cranberry dark and stormy or mojito and calling it some sort of cute Christmas name.

We might do bourbon and rum spiked egg nog because CHRISTMAS and we’re incorporating a ton of local Delaware products (local craft beer, a special dessert well-known in the area) and there’s a local dairy farm that makes the best egg nog ever...and I don’t even really like egg nog!

They don’t have to be - it just depends on the bartender and bar. Ours will probably be pre-prepared but not pre-poured.

We're doing 1- a "dirty Shirley' although not naming it that. Shirley Temples were a big tradition growing up amongst my cousins, especially at weddings. There are many inside jokes about Shirley Temples with my family so they must be included in our wedding! We're going to make it alcoholic since all those cousins are now grown!

I don’t mind at all. It can be tough choosing between a per head fee or on consumption. We weighed the factors: 1. Our wedding was on a Sunday and people tend to drink less on Sundays then on Friday or Saturday night. 2. While our crowd was very mixed regarding drinking, we knew there were enough folks who didn’t drink much and we also knew there were a lot of wine and beer drinkers. 3. The price per head cost at our venue was pretty high so when I did an estimate, I felt paying on consumption would come in lower. If we had paid per head, our bar bill would have been just under $4300 for 73. Our total bill came in at just under $3000. This included the bar gratuity. We had a premium open bar that was open from guest arrival at 3pm until the end at 9pm. Our bar bill also included soda and juice. Coffee and hot tea were complimentary.

Awesome thank you! Im getting married on a Sunday too and my reception is late and only hours. Maybe consumption is better. Thank you so much!

I don't know if we would really have good signature drinks. We are both whiskey drinkers; our drinks usual orders are a whiskey neat and whiskey ginger. All your suggestions sound so fun and festive!
