What are you “must play” dance and reception songs?

I’m trying to make a playlist. I want fun songs that don’t include any hate, drugs, violence, etc. I definitely do not want any music older than the 80’s. (This is not the YMCA and it is not raining men, hallelujah. 😝)
So what are some fun songs that give you life and happiness whenever you hear them?

I can think of any songs at the moment to answer your question, but your joke about the 80s songs actually made me think of Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. That's a pretty upbeat and catchy dance song (and I think it's free of drugs, violence, etc).

I definitely agree with uptown funk, that is one song that seems to get everyone dancing. It came on in the car one day and FH, and 17 year old son went crazy, anytime I hear it in public it seems everyone knows it, it’s one in my playlist in two weeks.

Shut up and dance is my favorite song to give me fun and happiness. Many bruno Mars songs do too like treasure, uptown funk, 24k magic. But I'd also be happy with 80s and older songs too like don't stop till you get enough or pyt by Michael Jackson.

Aww, my reception will be mostly 70's dance music! I get what you mean though - to each their own Smiley smile Here are a few of my favorites for dancing:

September - Earth Wind and Fire

Can't Stop the Feeling - Justin Timberlake

    Footloose - Kenny Loggins
