What are you doing for your first dance and last dance??

I like that His Mrs P. I love Maxwell mine is this woman works.

I haven't decided on my first song yet but I think I want the last song to be "I've had the time of my life" from the dirty dancing soundtrack. I just have to run that one by my fh and see what he thinks

FH wrote me a song a few years ago and sing it to me daily. "Special you are" he mix music so I asked him to put music to it and record it and that be our first dance song and of course he agreed! As for our last dance song it will be: Tonight, I celebrate my love for you By: Roberta Flack & Peabo Bryson.

Lol, WOW I feel so Behind, because I"m still trying to figure out what my wedding entrance song is going to be, I was gonna use the Etta James Version of AT Last, I've always loved that song BEFORE Cadillac Records Came out..... but me I'd be a Fool and and have Ella Fritzgarolds " Fever " as our last dance....BUT I gotta figure out what to put in Between, my FH always says that Tony Terrys "With you" is a Song that Reminds Him of My me so that's Probably what the First dance song is going to be.... LMAO... I need to get on the ball and Finalize all this STUFF, I'ma SLACKER.... especially considering that I didn't know I was supposed to have Half the Songs that I need During the reception....

Is there a list some place of all the different things you're "supposed" to have a song for?

I like the entrance, toast, first dance and then party! i think you should have music all night long and people can eat whenever they want. i do agree though that for the main course, music should be lowered and people should have the chance to eat in peace. For music- i love the newer music by Kings of Leon, their first album has some beautiful first dance music

Nice. Now I know the order. Thanks. My venue had asked me do I want to do the parents as well. Are you doing the parents, the bridal party, than the bride and groom? My FH want to do it to his song coming inn for his entrance which I do not, but I am thinking of letting him come in with the groomens. And I will come in with the Bridesmaids. The first dance will be Spend my life with you by Eric benet. And the last song I am thinking still. I need to get th is done by tomorrow.

Far as the playlist. I am just going to give our DJ some artist that we like. And tell him what style. I do not know if I will need to provide DC GoGo to him.

FH met our DJ at a wedding he officiated a few months ago. He really liked the type of music he played - mellow old school. So we're cool with that.
