What are y'all doing for wedding favors?

Adrienne, on June 25, 2019 at 4:39 PM Posted in Planning 0 15
Hey everyone! I am in the process of planning my wedding for next Fall. I want to have a cute wedding favor, but nothing too expensive. What are y'all doing for yours?

Edible favors are always recommended. For a fall wedding, you could do smores kits, caramel apples, cider, or hot chocolate. Anything else, you really run the risk of them being left behind. We're doing blankets as our favors, but we got an amazing price on them and plan to donate them to our local animal shelter if they're left behind.

Daughter and SIL love chocolate chip cookies.... (Who doesn't?) We got trays of the large chocolate chip cookies from Costco (less than $20 for 60 cookies), and 4x6" cellophane bags from Michael's (or JoAnn's, I forget which), and ordered round labels from Zazzle (where the rest of the wedding stationary came from) with their wedding logo and a message that said something like, "Thank you for sharing in our day! Love, Mr. & Mrs. XXXX." We packaged the cookies, 2 to a bag, sealed them shut, and put a sticker on them (centered over the cookies in bag). The venue partially tucked one into each of the folded napkins at the place settings. They were cute, meant something to the B&G, cost less than 75 cents a piece, and none were left behind at the end of the night.

FH and I have gone over this multiple times because his family is big on favors and they don’t consider food to be a favor. My family is happy either way. So what we decided to do was get the small 5 oz. stadium cups that say “Thank you” and we might put a cellophane bag inside with trail mix because our wedding happens to be on National Trail Mix Day.

We're going to do shot glasses from the distillery the wedding will be held at, probably with a few mints inside. I also ordered coasters with our wedding info on them to double as escort cards - I expect some will just be used as coasters and some will get taken home.

FH's grandmother is making her homemade strawberry jelly for everyone for our favors! Her and my FMIL are putting all the jelly in small mason jars for everyone. Smiley smile Everyone will also get their photos from the photobooth as a favor as well.
