What are Wedding Hashtags used for?

I know what hashtags are, I just don't know how they are used in regards to a wedding. I've seen them on wedding invitations, and I have a great one to use for myself. My fiancé and I are not on social media so is it pointless or can it be used in accordance with our wedding website somehow?

Agreeing with K.M. If you're not on social media, the hashtag is pointless. It is mainly used to keep all posts and pictures from your wedding under one domain so you can easily find them later to reminisce. But again, if you don't use social media, then don't sweat it. It won't be helpful to you.

People tag your wedding pictures for social media but it is pointless because people more than likely won't even use it. Even then you have to make it unique so that the tag actually is useful. I knew someone who wanted to do something along the lines of #fallinginlove but that defeats the purpose because there's a million pictures with that tag
