What are the pictures you wish you had?

MrsE, on December 16, 2014 at 2:17 PM Posted in Married Life 0 15

While I'm so in love with my wedding pro pics (over 600) and could not have enough good things to say about my photographers, I found that there were a few photos I didn't get. It's been a couple of months but we still keep in touch a little bit. They sent us a Christmas card. Is it rude to ask for more pictures if they have them?

Here are some that I didn't see: my dad's first look of me, arieal (balcony) shots of the ceremony guests, the food, cocktail hour pictures, signature drinks, the dj in his booth, the back of my dress as I walked down the aisle with my dad, one of DHs cousin who was on the dance floor the whole night (you couldn't miss her), me helping the flower girl (my sister) get ready in the morning.

What does it say in your contract? I'd imagine they gave you the best 600 they had.

I forgot to get one of my whole BP, my side and grooms together. But we were all so tired after two hours of photos I couldn't have taken any more.

I'm pretty sure we missed getting a ton of things as well (we're picking up our photos tonight!). I don't think it wouldn't hurt to kindly ask if they had any shots of those things.

    Gorgeous belt!

I don't think it would be rude to ask. Maybe just let them know how excited you were about those shots, how much you LOVED what they sent, and ask if they have any of those shots.

My photographer left out the cake cutting/toasts in which I had to ask her for. I don't think it'd hurt to ask if they got those shots.

I'd ask. I found out our package was so much smaller than I was led to believe through my all inclusive venue. So I contacted the photographer directly and asked. I ended up with 150 more than I had, and yes they may have not been the best but there was one of DH and his son and somehow we didn't have any if just the two of them. There are so many more I wish I had. There was no group shot, my brother is missing from our BP photos. None of just me and my mom or me and my god parents. Hardly any of DHs family. And none of his nephew and sister in law, so many, but mostly a lot of the family ones are my biggest regrets.

Sure thing, O&S!!! I'll try to get through them quickly and post. We just got a new puppy though (we've only had her a week and a half!) so I'm still trying to balance that out with my normal activities (lol, WW).

I realized I didn't take a picture with my nephew who was the ring bearer! But things were so nuts and we just didn't think about it. Oh and also my husbands grandpa who I love! Nothing I can do tho, it wasn't their fault at all.

I would definitely ask tho! It doesn't hurt!! Good luck!

Our little ring bearer was my youngest brother and as you can see he couldn't wait to get out of his clothes.

Did they actually take those shots, and you haven't seen them in your 600?

I would imagine if they didn't give them to you, they don't have them.

But- it doesn't hurt to ask!

I love our photographer and really loved our engagement pictures!

However, when I went to submit our engagement announcement, I realized we didn't take any of the traditional shots that are just us, sitting together/near each other, facing the camera. We have 2 shots like that, and that's it! And we're standing, and they're still not that close up.

I never mentioned it to her, I didn't think about it, but I probably should have before our engagement shoot.

That's why a "must have" shot list is so important for a photographer to have I think!

They fully edited all of our pictures we received so I know they couldn't possibly have given them all to us. I sent a nice email so we'll see what happens. Thanks for the advice.

It may be that they didn't actually take those shots, often photographers will take a short break during dinner so the food pictures usually aren't really common, you'd have to put that somewhere that you'd really like to have pics of that. Also things during cocktail hour are hard because usually during cocktail hour the photographers are taking your formal pictures. A balcony shot may also be difficult because it's hard to get up to a place without missing some other really intimate shots during the ceremony. Hopefully they did get a couple others, definitely doesn't hurt to ask, but it may be that some things just weren't possible. Hope you can get some though!

I wish we had pictures with our dogs. They were the ring bearers and had cute little tuxedos. We forgot to take the after pics with them bc they were in the crate while everyone was running around Smiley sad

I wish I had taken photos with my sorority sisters and Engineering friends. Also I don't have a photo of just my Mom and me, but the day completely flew by. It was my fault I didn't have those as "must have" shots.
