What are some 'crazy' tailoring ideas you had for your dress?

This is such a good topic, I hope some brides chime in

I wouldn’t count mine as crazy, haha, but I am altering mine to have the off the shoulder sleeves sit like cap sleeves. I always wanted a cap sleeved wedding dress and I’m so excited to have one!

Mirror after, bridal salon before. Switched out the entire lining color.... And I did it myself, which is definitely crazy.

I don't know if you'd consider this a crazy alteration, because it's not changing the shape at all. I got this really inexpensive dress from Torrid, and I'm adding my own beaded, scalloped lace to the whole hem, the sleeves, and the neckline, layered over the original lace. I'm halfway through and still can't decide for sure if it's a good idea.

Jennifer, I am all for adding beading! It really adds dimension to a dress. From the bottom pic you posted, the lace and beading looks beautiful! I'm sure it will enhance your dress. Hopefully, you'll post the after when you're done!
