I have seen posts about this in the past, but it keeps happening to me right now! A couple times a day someone random will text, email, facebook, or call me and ask me something "crazy" about the wedding. What are some of the same annoying questions you keep getting asked about? or what is one of the craziest things you've been asked lately?

1. Other Weddings - My good friend got engaged last weekend. My Mom got really paranoid & was asking me if she picked the same date as me! She has asked me about 10 times within a week, so I finally talk to the gal and she told me she is picking sometime in May.

2. LIMOS - Everyone keeps asking me if I booked the limo yet or if we figured out how to get there yet. We have over a year to figure that part out - I am not sure why everyone is acting like this is the most important part!

3. Flower Girls - A few people asked if we having children in the wedding (which is fine). When I say no, they keep asking why not! over and over and over....

Here are some questions and my thoughts when they ask me those questions!

    How did he propose?

Am I invited??? (If you ask, then probably not)

When is the wedding?? (You'll know it happens. when you see pics on fb...lool)

Why those colors? (Is it ur wedding...or mine?)

Are you having a BIG wedding? (WHy? SO you can bring ur uninvited friends?)

Will it be in Dallas or Phoenix. (FH lives in phx, so I get that question a lot)

SO...are you moving there?? (Uh duh!)

Why can't he move here? (dang, mind ur business!)

Why are you doing it so far away? Wouldn't you rather someplace closer that's more convenient? (it's an hour from here)

Why are you having such a long engagement? Why not do it in ___ month?

Why are you doing it on Memorial Day weekend? You know that's a holiday, right? (like I didn't know)

Where is this place again? New York? (as if it's a foreign country)

Also love it when a particular woman at my job keeps talking about what she's going to do at my wedding - she's not invited. She literally says that every single time she sees me.

Another is You better invite me. Like seriously. If I ask for your address before that means I am not inviting you. If am close to you then yes

I also get are you excited? Mmmm no I am sad am marrying the man I love.

Hey Shannon, since you brought it up, my magical camel actually only eats pot brownies (dietary restrictions, you understand), and since we're naturally both invited, he will need a special seat next to the window, in case he wants to lick it. I'm sure this won't be a problem. Thanks so much Smiley smile

We got engaged July 2010 and when we told my mom we wanted to get married on 11/11/11 she asked me, you don't want to do 8/9/10!? I think that was the strangest question, from my MOM!!!

my dad is a minister so I get the "is your dad marrying you!?" no he's not, I don't want my dad working on my wedding day, I want him to be my dad and sit with my mom and be happy.

"Are you excited" I get that from my co-workers a bunch along with, "how many days?"

I just moved Arizona for a job and they are all asking me why I'm getting married back east. Because I didn't know I would be moving to AZ when I planned the wedding a year ago!!!

We also aren't taking a honeymoon after the wedding because it's November and I need to get back to work and he needs to get back to school. We'll take our honeymoon when we want to!

the baby question has only popped up a few times. I love hearing everyone's strange questions! =) Good luck ladies, stay sane!

Here's a couple i get all the time.

    1. Why haven't i got my invite yet?

Hello! i haven't sent them out yet!

    2. Why is the date so far away?

Three months is not that far away.

    3. Is you're family going to be there?

Just because they all live out of state doesn't mean they wont be there.

@ Furture Mrs. Mak I'm glad I'm not the only one who wants my dad to be my dad on my big day! I couldn't imagine my mom sitting by herself as the first of her 3 girls gets married! Don't let anyone talk you out of it!

You should get married here, or there, or over there or do this or that this particular way. We've already booked our venue & it's OUR wedding so we'll decide where & how we get things done.

Are you excited? Of course I am! That was a really DUMB question.

My son will be almost 4 when you get married, he could be your ring bearer. Umm, look, I work with you & although I adore you at work, I don't know you or your son much ourside of that. We're just not having a ring bearer or a flower girl. Deal with it.

[*real questions, but fake answers I wish I could have said haha.]

Why aren't you having your wedding in Spring/ Summer?.... -_-, because we fell in love in the winter, we were both born in the winter.

Why can't I bring a plus one? Because I ONLY know you and I don't want a random in my pictures

Considering this thread started in 2011 it providing some good laughs. As a second time bride at age 52 I never got the "When are you having kids?" question. That was good as I heard it a thousand times a day the first time round the horn. The second I knew better than to share stuff with people - so vey little suggestions on things. Thankfully! I had started a new teaching position in August and was getting married in the fall, and I told NO ONE. Put in for PTO for Friday and Monday, returned on Tuesday and said oh by the way I am Mrs. Marlins now. Get used to it, lol

It only happened once, but when we first got engaged, someone asked me if there was “anything else I needed to tell them.” They were asking if I was pregnant and that’s why I got engaged 🙄😡
