Weird wedding gifts

Neat though! I feel like I heard of one recently but I can't remember what it was!

I haven't received any gifts so far so no weird ones yet for me.

We just got a hand carved hunting knife from Nepal from FH's cousin today... Definitely impressive work but so random!

My uncle got me 16 $2 bills for my sweet 16. The money hadn't been cut yet, and came in a display case. It's one of my favorite gifts! But it is a little strange that they just stuck them in a card lol.

2 current comic books. $2.95 each. And the premise of one was spousal abuse. WTF?

@Sharon I guess this is where "It's the thought" comes in. Lol

What's worse is that the woman who gave them to us, wrapped at our reception, called DH the morning after the wedding to ask if we had opened her present yet.

I got this from my 93 year old grandpa this week...I think it's a western decorative bowl but looks like a dinosaur fossil

All I go back to when I see $2 bills is the time DH went to a Bach party in Portland. Pretty much the most strip clubs per capita. They all use $2 bills.

A friend of mine and her husband received a Swarovski crystal dinosaur figurine as a wedding gift. They were a little confused to say the least. lmao

Haha, in my college town, there was a guy called $2 Bob. He used to go to all the town bars and hand out $2 bills. He never drank and was some wealthy business man. I still have one of the $2 bills. I have no idea where he got them or why he came out to hand them out every weekend.

DHs mom gave us toilet paper with bride and groom mice on it.

We've gotten some $1 bills that are silver certificates. Pretty neat because those haven't been around for a long time!

When Canada stopped making the $1 and $2 bills my parents bought my siblings and I each a sheet of them uncut. My kids have zero clue that they are money, all they have known is coins (loonies and twonies)

We got a Christmas ornament wig our wedding date on it and our last name misspelled. It was from an older lady, who had good intentions. It will go on our tree proudly :-)

My old boss used to love love love $2 bills. He would always send us across the street to the local bank to get stacks of $2's for the register. They're not special!!! Spend them!!

ETA - Jenny that bowl is made out of a wood burl. They're super $$$ where I've seen them. But ya it does look like a pelvis lol

Haven't received any gifts yet, so nothing weird!

However, I was always told that the $2 bill is supposed to "bring good luck". I still have one with my name and birth date written on it that someone gave my parents when I was born.
