I’m a bride like all of you suppose to be getting married in September. I’m conflicted on what to do. I don’t know how tho ya will be by then. Do I just keep planning and hope for the best?

Depending on where you live I'd keep planning but maybe have a back up date just in case, If you're more comfortable with that. Ik our wedding was for May 9th, we pushed it to May 16th and cut our guest list from 92people to 7 people because we live in NJ. We decided to elope and have a small reception at our apartment. N have no intentions of doing anything a year later. Def keep your options open!

Ours Is 10/17 With 60 Guests In VA And We're Moving Forward As Normal. We Won't Postpone Unless The Venue Makes Us.

Mine is 10/10/2020 in California and I'm in the same boat! As of right now I am still planning for it to happen. So make sure you double check with vendors so see what their policy would be for postponing.

Have a back up date, but double check with your venue before you give yourself a lot of heart ache about postponing. We were struggling, but our venue won't let us postpone anyway. So it might come down to a financial decision as well.

I was supposed to attend two weddings in September and both have been postponed Smiley sad

I think your decision will depend upon where you live and how many guests you have invited. I would definitely contact your venue about a backup date just in case. Best of luck

Mine is scheduled for September as well. We have a deadline in two weeks to make a decision whether to move forward or postpone. If we postpone, we would have to move back 1.5-2 years given how far out our venue is booked.

I find it helpful to make a list of dealbreakers, (under what conditions you would not want to go forward with your current date.) for example, what if guests were required to wear masks.or could not openly mingle with one another? What if guests were not allowed to dance? What if you had to trim your guest list to 50 people?
A dealbreaker for us would be dancing.

Then I would pick a date (e.a. 60, 90 days out) in consultation with your venue as a deadline to make your decision.

I think as some have stated, it all depends where you live and what's happening there. At times like this it's really important to keep in contact with your venue and find out what they have to say. But if you're listening to the news / researching / reading you'll note that most of the world is slowly reopening and it looks like by September we should be almost back to "normal"

I would say stay in communication with your venue and vendors. Keep updated on what your state is doing as far as rules on gatherings and things along those lines. If you can, pick a backup date with your venue and inform your other vendors who are not at your venue or apart of your venue of that date to see if it works with their schedules.

After you have your backup plan in place, I would keep planning for your September date and only use your backup plan if needed. I am so sorry you and so many other couples are having to go through this! I hope your wedding day goes on as planned and is perfect!
