Weddingbee is the scary side of wedding forums....

Dj Tanner, on July 6, 2020 at 2:36 AM Posted in Community Conversations 1 23
Let me just say for the record, Weddingbee has some of the most craziest forums chats and discussions between individuals that Ive ever read. I’m so glad WeddingWired is so much more focused on support and sharing ideas about weddings and engagements. There’s such a much more positive tone here.

Oh my god I KNOW! I left weddingbee and got on WeddingWire. Those people there can be so nuts. And also the whole website just seems outdated in design

I know! It’s so utterly creepy! You’re so right about the whole look of it too is like some sort of creepy devious ‘backpage’ type situation. Some of those people on there sound like out right sociopaths. It’s almost like they purposefully try to put ideas into peoples heads just to mess with them about their partners in relationships and things like that. It’s seriously the most devious scary site I’ve ever been on LOL. I come back to WeddingWire and I’m like oh my God I feel so safe now LOL

I didn't even know about that one, but I have *horror* stories from the Knot.

    There's a reason I stuck around here!

I've been with WW since 2004 when I married my late hubby and we planned the perfect wedding with advice from this wonderful forum. Late hubby passed suddenly in our 10th year and I never dreamed of marrying again. 5 years after his passing, I met Mr. Right (who happened to be a widower) in 2016 and he proposed, I blew the dust off my WW account, signed on and WW was just as great as I remembered. (Mind you we are in our 50's/me & 60's/he) Once again thru WW, I planned our 2017 wedding again with the wonderful ideas and advice. Did I look at the knot and weddingbee, yes and those sites were still crappy as they were in 2004. When friends come to me for any type of planning advice, I point them here hands down. (Disclaimer: WW did not pay me to write this review 😊). I'm just an old timer providing advice. Happy wedding planning btb 🥰.

I have never heard of weddingbee but I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life, lol.

They’re all bullies!!!! So much negativity! Also never go there for any kind of relationship advice because they all think the solution is divorce or breaking up.

I found this too - and they have a lot less wedding-related content. The wedding planning forum on Reddit is the same way, and is especially negative with coronavirus.

Totally agree. I’ve only browsed WeddingBee a few times but found it to be toxic and it causes me more anxiety than anything. So much harsh, negative and rude commentary I couldn’t believe it!

100%! Its like “my husband left the toilet seat up.” The ‘bees’ will then say “you have up leave him! If you don’t leave you don’t love yourself.” Type of deal its like whuaatt?! Lol

I didn’t realize the knot had forums as well. I’ll be sure to stay clear from that one thanks for the tip LOL

It is SOOO true! I'll go on there just to look at the ring threads, lol. I've made the mistake of reading some of the other threads and it was just full of drama and stress. Even though I'm already married, I love coming back to WW for all of the positivity!! Smiley smile

I remember answering some threads (I was relatively new on weddingbee) and literally some of them yelled at me for answering “old” threads. They were like uh why are you answering threads from like 3 weeks ago.
    Yeesh. Didn’t know I couldn’t...
