Do you think it is a must to have a wedding planner the day of your wedding?

It’s definitely not a must but if you have the money for a DOC that can be really helpful so you don’t have to worry about all those last minutes Details.

My sister in law is acting as our DOC. I just can't imagine trying to navigate my wedding and reception without some sort of help.

I think it is going to be very helpful, my MOH is super organized and our venue provides a DOC which makes me feel a lot of relief thinking about the big day but I think I would definitely be looking into paying for a DOC if it wasn’t included.

Yes. Personally I wouldn’t plan a wedding without a Planner or at the very least a DOC. They handle everything the day of so you can relax and enjoy your big day. Hands down budget money towards this as you will thank yourself later.

Yes it is important to have someone there to help you out for that day whether it is a DOC, wedding planner, or a dependable person. You do not want to be stressed out. You would want your day to go as smooth as possible.

I don't see it as a must, but they can be really helpful. I'm personally not comfortable handing the reins over to someone else though! A DOC is an excellent suggestion

I don't see the need of a planner, but I definitely found money in the budget for a Day of Coordinator. I've handled everything in regards to vendors/decor/etc., but will be relying on the DOC to put it all together for me the day of since I will be busy getting ready. It'll be nice to have someone not affiliated with the wedding itself to run everything and who can handle any fires that may arise.

We hired a "month-of" planner/coordinator and her services were invaluable. She went over all our vendor contracts, created our day-of timeline and communicated all updates and changes to all vendors, helped with setup and teardown of our wedding (including transporting all the stuff to and from our hotel room), kept everything on schedule, and put out all the little fires that happened behind-the-scenes (e.g. cutting people off at the open bar). Our family and friends were able to enjoy the day without any additional responsibilities and we didn't need to worry about being the single point of contact if something came up. If you are able to fit it into your budget, I'd highly recommend it!
