My budget is 10000. The only thing keeping me in budget is the fact my parents have offered to pay for the photographer.
I'll probably go over because I didn't think to budget for things like hotel, hair. Oops

I originally wanted a budget around there but it didn't happen once I saw what kind of food I wanted aha . It's totally normal to go over budget though but if you want to stick to your budget then you've got to find creative ways to do so or be lucky and find cheap vendors and venue. Or if you've a smaller guest list that helps.

My wedding is just over 10,000 only do a short wedding. Do not hirer a florists. Those are my top 2. We are probably saving a good **** by having the wedding 5 hours total and another 1000 at least by not hiring a florist

We started at 10k and had to jump to 15 but we could've stayed under 10 if we absolutely couldn't afford that extra bump.

The best way to have a wedding under 10k is to have a small guest list, get married during the off season, or have a morning or afternoon wedding. Especially if you wanna be by a body of water or are in a high cost of living area. 50-60% of your overall budget should go to venue/food/alcohol.

We're doing ours for about 8K, but we're in a cheaper area. We're only inviting 70 people and we're doing it at a co-op art gallery which was affordable and doesn't need a lot of decor. My parents gifted us our photographer too which helped. And my friend's band is playing during cocktails and dinner for a really generous rate, then we're switching to Spotify for dancing. I think venue and guest list are the biggest ways to cut costs.

Im in the Baltimore area as well!! I bought silk flowers from a shop on Etsy and shopped around for good deals for DJ and photographer. Having the wedding on a Sunday and having a brunch buffet certainly helped with the price. I think I’m paying $23 pp for catering and got quoted $15 for open bar, but I’m just going to put a set amount on the bar instead.

I have less than 100 guests, bought all of my decorations off of hobby lobby, will be making my own centerpieces, and bought invites and rsvps from vista print. I’ve managed to stay below $10k. I’m not getting married on the water, but on a farm in Howard County. Water venues are super expensive in the area.

I also was trying to stay at or under a budget of 10,000 but I maybe going over that a bit. Really couldn’t avoid the florist cuz the hall doesn’t offer much as far as decor and linens. I’m using vista print for invites to keep the cost down hope they come out well🤞🏼. My family doesn’t believe I can stay under 15,000 but I’m determined!

Not sure what you want for a wedding, but just gonna throw this out here as an option since you want to stay under 10k.

Sandals Resorts has free weddings if you book 3 or more nights at their resorts. For price comparison we are staying there at club level( they have 3 levels; club is the middle) for 7 nights for our honeymoon and it’ll be $4,800. I attached pictures with info below. It’s a good deal if you’re okay with a small wedding since a lot of people might not be able to make the trip. Also at Montego Bay, Jamaica there is a Sandals Resort called Sandals Inn that is cheaper, but close to the 2 nicer resorts and if you stay at one you can go to any so your guests can stay in the cheaper resort, but still come and enjoy your wedding and maybe a vacation. All their resorts are all inclusive and they have a spa where you can go and get your hair and nails done for the wedding( it costs extra).

Our budget is $15k, but we are trying to save as much as we can. Here are some ways we are saving money.
-Not sending out save the dates. We are calling people instead.
    - Small wedding party
    - Getting married on a Sunday which saved us $1000 dollars. You can also save money in the off season of areas as well.
-Finding a simple place to print invitations and all RSVPs will be done online to limit the amount of paper being sent out as well as postage.
-Handing our invitations to as many people as possible to save of postage
    - Not having a huge tiered cake
-Not having bouquets and boutonnieres for wedding party to limit the amount of flowers needed
-No wedding favors. Most people don’t even notice them or want them anyways
-Making my own center pieces possibly with artificial flowers to save even more.

There are tons of money saving ideas on this form and Pinterest that I think would help you out a lot. A $10k or less wedding is totally possible. You just have to be creative and maybe be willing to compromise. Some people don’t buy expensive dresses either. I did because that was something that I valued, but you can find beautiful dresses that are less than $1000 or even $500. Try JJ’s House online. Get a spreadsheet and start planning, but mostly have fun!!

I'm on NC but originally from Baltimore as well!!! What about the Black Eyed Susan Steamboat. I think that would be under 10k and she would be on the water. Also what about Blues on the water in Glen Burnie, Celebrations in Pasadena, waterside inn in Frederick?

You can get a party permit to use space on a public beach. It's a few hundred dollars
