Wedding

Hello everyone I'm have a wedding next year and I'm still in the process of planning. I have looked into banquet halls and garden weddings I'm on a budget and just want something nice and memorable. At this point I'm still not sure on a venue. I would like to have a small intimate wedding that's different. I'm thinking about have a wedding on a boat located downtown Chicago. The only bad thing is parking for guest, I'm not sure how much parking cost but I know it's not cheap. How do I accommodate guests for parking on my wedding day? Do anyone have any advice or experience with parking for downtown Chicago. I don't want to feel bad allowing my guest to pay for parking on my wedding day.

I'm sure this question will make it super obvious I'm not from the Chicago area, but are there any venues outside of city lines in a rural-ish area? Those are always great for parking. If you want a boat wedding, wouldn't they have ample parking at the docks? That's just what I've seen in places like Charleston SC, but I know Chicago is much larger.

Another thing to consider is where your guests are coming from - if most of them are local (i.e. local enough to Uber) or staying at nearby hotels (also close enough to Uber/possibly rent a shuttle) then I think you're fine with the boat option. If you're seriously considering that venue, I'd ask them what they recommend for parking. They might know of nearby garages or other options for your guests.

Are you planning on doing one from Navy Pier? I know they have parking there but I would probably encourage guests to use uber/ Lyft or public transit. A one day pass is only $10 for unlimited rides!
