I’m so upset, the one person I only cared about being there, probably won’t make it.. and I don’t mean the only one I cared about, but the one I wanted the most..

I'm so sorry Amy, we all wish we could have that special someone in attendance. My grandmother passed a few years ago without ever meeting my FH. I would've loved for her to be there for us on our special day.

I'm sorry I understand it is so hard. My cousin that I grew up with and helped babysit some how forgot despite a STD and booked her vacation during my wedding, and won't be able to attend. She is my only cousin I care about and have a relationship. I can say deep down I was really hurt and sad.

Thank you so much, I’m sorry you’re grandmother never met your FH. My grandmother was always worried she wouldn’t meet the last grandkids, and she didn’t. But I haven’t lost the one person I want there, but her dad has been very sick, so I don’t see her making it.. I’m sad for her, and also sad to miss her

She really was an amazing lady. She was an amateur opera singer in her youth. So we'll be playing "Le Vie en Rose" by Edith Piaf, her favorite song, in her honor during the reception.

This is a big bummer and I know how this goes. I had very close people who were not able to attend due to death, health, new babies, or other events.

Not that this is the same but my cousin whom I'm very close to was not able to make it to our wedding and her sister who attended FaceTime during the ceremony and different parts of the day so she could join us. It helped and she was able to feel involved and able to witness the day from afar.

Sorry to hear that. I totally understand. I wanted my poppop at my wedding but unfortunately he passed in 2017. I always envisioned us dancing to Frank Sinatra at my wedding. It's just sad.
