Wedding Wire, The Knot, Or Zola Website?

Natalie, on December 27, 2019 at 4:08 PM Posted in Planning 1 18

Which wedding website did you like best?

I have tinkered around with websites on each platform and I can't decide which is the best fit. We're getting ready to order save the dates and the back will say "for more information please visit our wedding website" with a link, so I need to make up my mind.

We only tried WeddingWire, but from checking out other people's sites, I prefer Zola. If you search the forums here, unfortunately, you'll find tons of problems with WeddingWire's platform. It isn't super reliable, which is especially important if you plan to do online RSVPs. Zola's designs are also super cute and customizable, while WW is pretty basic.

One of the main reasons I like Zola is their guest list & RSVP features. Really my only issue is my photos keep uploading blurry on the site, but I guess that really isn't that important in the grand scheme of things lol

We’re using Zola for our website and online RSVP and have no complaints. We opted for them because I liked their designs and it was very user-friendly.

I'm thinking I'll probably go that route as well.

I am having the same struggle!! I've geared people have serious issues struth the WeddingWire website (I think specifically the RSVP function?) And I've seen the majority like Zola (I believe for registry reasons?)
Neither of which helps me as I won't be doing online RSVP nor registering 😖 but hopefully that helps you! I'm definitely going to be following this discussion though! 😊

I have set up websites on Zola & on The Knot so far just to play around with. Our wedding is still a year away, so I know no one is looking at them yet. I need to commit to one but I'm nervous! haha

I am using Zola for my website/registry. I use WeddingWire for the forums and I like that you can put together seating charts on here.

Agreed, I did look at the seating chart feature here on wedding wire and I really like it. Also love the forums. I wonder if anyone uses The Knot anymore.

I used the Knot for my website. I am not doing any RSVPing through a website and just wanted a place for everyone to go to find out hotel details, things to do in the area should they arrive early. It was simple to use for me. I have a lot of out of town guests and I liked that I could add a lot of hotels to the Knot with links and I could edit the information to include things such as the room block information. I also have a link to my registry that I will activate after in January I think; that will be listed on the Knot as well.

I like The Knot for RVSP since you can make it where guests cannot add plus ones. When they go to RVSP,they type their name in and them and the rest of their family or plus ones show up as well.

I haven't tried Zola but want to compare the two.

I'm using Wedding Wire 🤷🏾‍♀️ lol. I haven't had any issues with the site and RSVPs are coming in with no issues. The only thing that I dont like is that since FH does not have a WW account, there's no way for me to link our accounts, so you cannot search for us under the couple search. But if you type in the website directly in your search bar, the website comes up fine. I haven't had any complaints from guest.

We used the knot. I liked the guest list and RSVP feature, and we booked our hotel block through the site and got a great deal because if the discount that was offered! We found an all suite, boutique hotel in Washington DC (Georgetown) got $110 per night.

I started creating a website with The Knot and got frustrated with some of the limitations, so I ended up using WithJoy. Crossing my fingers that the RSVP situation works out, since I haven't gotten to that point yet lol. Zola would've been my second pick.
