Wedding welcome Party??

Okay here's my dilemma. We are having a destination wedding so we are for sure having a welcome event the day before the wedding. We have it booked for only 1 hour of open bar with 5 different types of appetizers going around...but since its only an hour long I don't really want to call it a welcome party. Should I just name it Welcome drinks on the itinerary? welcome cocktail hour???? I need help describing it on my website and wedding itinerary. any ideas??? Maybe I should extend it to two hours??? I'm stressing any advice will help!!! please and thank you!!!

Call it what it is: Welcome party. Then list the start and end time.

I would call it welcome drinks—party might insinuate heavier food? But if you can, I would extend to two hours. Our welcome party was three hours and went by in an absolute flash!

I would call it a welcome cocktail party, since there will be both cocktails and appetizers served. I agree with Kiley though, I would extend it to at least 2 hours.

I’d call it a “Welcome Social Hour” (since you’ll have a “cocktail hour” after your ceremony). Provide the start and end time and note that there will be cocktails and appetizers.

I think welcome drinks or something is just fine! But welcome party also works, as not all parties have to be long!
