Wedding Websites and Save the Dates

Rebecca, on November 23, 2019 at 4:17 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
I ordered my STDs last week and realized that I forgot to put our wedding website on them. I’m trying to decide if I should put a small piece of card stock with the website printed on it in the envelope with them, or put it on an address label and stick it to the back. Either way, I figure some people will miss it, but I’m worried if I go the piece of card stock route, they’ll lose it and not even realize it’s there. Opinions?

Our wedding website was not ready when I sent out our STDs. I think as long as you have your names, date and location it'll be fine.

I definitely wanted people to have access to the wedding website before the invitations.

One thing you can try is reaching out to the website you ordered from and see if they can mail you new ones with the website at no cost (sometimes this will work)

Otherwise I think the best option would be to do a label or handwrite the website on the back. A small cardstock may get lost like you said.

I like Neeva’s idea of handwriting it on the back of the STD. The problem with the label on the envelope is that the envelope will likely get tossed, and you’re right that they may miss the small piece of card stock. Maybe you could even do a label and stick it onto the back of the actual STD?

I did the same thing! FH & I decided it's not necessary for people to see the website until closer to the wedding.... I made sure the invites had it enclosed!

We left the website off of the STD and included them on the back of the invitation

You can print your website on a clear address label and stick it in the back of the card 🤷🏻‍♀️

I like the address label idea! We included a business card sized insert in our save the dates with our hotel block information (we had over 100 out of state guests) and a lot of people booked rooms so they didn't lose it!
