Wedding website

What are people putting on their wedding website? Every time I go to work on mine I quit because I don't know what to say without being cliche or corny, or too formal sounding Smiley tongue Do you know of any websites that have suggestions or templates?

We just told our story from first person point of view and we actually switched off for each section to make it seem more personal and less formal.

I can send you a link to our website if you wanna check it out! People seemed to really like our website for some reason haha

Here ya go! I think it looks better on a web browser than mobile, but it works on both mobile and PC/Mac.

We kept it simple. We put the obvious... wedding location, time, & date. Put the lodging/hotel block information. Then I put a quick blurb about how we met and some of our engagement photos. We also included some information about our wedding party since we didn’t do programs. That was it.

I love it! It doesn't look like you used a typical wedding website through wedding wire or zola- what did you use? Thanks again for sharing Smiley smile

I didn’t put any stories on there, bc there was no way to word it without being cheesy. Plus we don’t have a great love story to even share. But since my wedding is now over I’m happy to share some cropped screen shots of other pages. We used Zola, and chose not to do the online RSVP but that is an option. I originally had an faq page but it just seemed condescending to me so I chose not to publish it. I also originally had my wedding party on there and a bridesmaid had a nervous breakdown over it so I took it down. Honestly only like 5 people even went to my website but it was still fun to make. Here was the top of the schedule page, and then we added the rehearsal, RD, ceremony and reception times below with location and attire.

Our travel page included airport and car rental locations, hotel block info, and the shuttle schedule.
    Wedding website 4
Header for things to do page. We included restaurants, hiking trails, and downtown stuff.

Thanks— we used AppyCouple! It was super easy to navigate and customize. Smiley smile

I just realized that you probably couldn’t see our events/rsvp page. Here’s the dummy email you can use to view those pages: ****.***@*****.***
Just in case you wanna see how the rsvp function looks.

I used Blueprint for ours and they had a template. You can also connect all of your registries at one place! I did an intro to the website (something short), then our love story on the first page. The other pages are just a RSVP page , FAQ , hotel accommodation page and our registry. Don't give up! It may take some time (:

I struggled choosing between the knot, zola and wedding wire. I read WW had a lot of issues and tested out both the others which frustrated me with their preset options. I ended up going with minted which gave me choices to customize. I googled ideas of info to include or how to best phrase. It’ll be great no matter what you put once you get in the groove!

I might be in the minority here but I actually really like the wedding wire website templates and how customizable they are, like changing fonts, colors, pages, etc... I tried using zola templates but just didn't like how limiting it was.

You can include what you wish to. You could include how, when and where did you meet. Also the location and date of the wedding too!

You can check ours out here. we did not do an about us section, we thought those were corny AF. Instead we just did a blurb on each of the wedding party members and a 'we are so excited' blurb.
