I think you should and its super easy to do it through this site. You just follow the guide and put your info in. I'm glad we did and last time i checked we had over 100 visits to oue site which I didn't think even looked at it. I def recommend!!

Pros - people could see details on schedule, hotels, and our registry
Cons - only a couple of people used it, I had to make sure it was private so my ex didn’t find it (he’s the type) and my friend threw a tantrum about being “ranked” as a bridesmaid on my photo page. Obviously that wasn’t my intention but she freaked out.

I created one and it has been super beneficial! We decided to have all of our guests RSVP through the website instead of paying postage on RSVP cards and it has been flawlessly smooth.

How do you check how many visits you had? What website did you make yours on?

Daughter found it both easy to make one and very helpful. She ultimately did online RSVPs (which initially, I was concerned about, but like most things, she was completely right...). The RSVPs worked out great. And, when FOB's siblings called repeatedly asking questions about lodging or what to do in their free time, even he got really good at asking, "Have you looked at the website? She has everything detailed there." She used The Knot and was completely happy with the way it worked. I don't really know what the downside would be.

I think nowadays it’s so easy to make one, why not!? There’s tons of free sites to choose from. We made one because I know people are going to ask certain questions (i.e. can I bring kids or is there anything to do after the reception, our reception ends at 3:30pm,). Can save you lots of headache from the obvious questions and really

I say make one. It doesn’t take much time, they are fun, and they are a great place to put wedding into for your guests. We put the link on our STD so guests could check it out at anytime. We also used it for online RSVP’s.

We used The Knot for ours.

Yes, absolutely. It handles guest lists, RSVPs, room blocks and booking codes, schedule of events, travel suggestions and details, FAQs, registry, allows people to put meal preferences and food restrictions, etc, etc. it automates so much. I cannot even imagine the headache of planning a wedding without a website. I’d have to answer the same questions over and over again to all my guests. Instead I have maps, schedules, faqs, phone numbers and booking links for everything they would want to ask me about. And on the actual day or weekend, if they’re ever not sure what’s going on, they just pull up the website and check. If you’re having destination, put up photos of the location to make people excited. After the wedding, upload some photos of the wedding for people to download. I don’t know any couple who’s gotten married in last 5ish years who haven’t made a website. Simply too convenient. I password protected mine and gave people the passwords in the invitations.

Daughter's Knot website was password protected. I think most offer that option.

Yup, you should make one. I have one with http://www.withjoy.com

And they are great. My RSVPS are all online, also guests can find out important info about our wedding such as location, nearby hotels, etc.
